I actually got ringworm years ago before I had cats from a human child and I will reassure anyone that in humans it’s really mild. It’s just cream. Also if you’ve ever had athlete’s foot then that is ringworm. It is more challenging to manage in kittens. I am also not suggesting that you throw caution to the wind and rub a ringworm kitten all over yourself but you know.

Yeah, we rescued one and didn't know it had ringworm and we have 7 other cats, and we ALL have it now, it's just unsightly (and itchy) for humans, tea tree oil works really well (for humans)... It's been a battle, holy goodness...

Thank you for doing a ringworm video! I worked at an animal shelter (that also was animal control for the county) and we had a lot of itchy crusty babies/adults coming in during the summer. I usually did the ringworm room, and it is difficult as hell. And yes, gloves may be wasteful, but I would double-glove just to be safe. So you just do itrafungal? I know the lime-sulfur solution reeks but in my experience it takes care of ringworm faster. Anyway, love your work, sorry for the essay!

I always double glove! Never too safe imo. And yes, we just use Itrafungal and daily sanitizing! I’ve found it takes about the same time and the sulfur lime dip AND the meds, but without the bathing experience. Thank you for doing the ringworm babies! It’s not easy, but they are worth it.

@@Fortheloveofkittenrescue Honestly the sulfur lime dip is a real pain in the butt, and the cats/kittens NEVER get used to it. They hate it and whomever dips them. Of course! I loved all of my crusty babies, and was always excited when they got to leave the room.

Air purifier is genius! Do you still use the litter robot for adult fosters and do you use the ResCue on it? Or is it just too difficult to disinfect?

I don’t use the litter robot for adult fosters. Just my adult cats. It’s just too difficult to sanitize.

i fostered kittens with ringworm a few yrs ago. Rescue org ordered sulfur dips. Are these guys too young, time consuming, doesn't work well ...

She uses a different protocol. Something called "Itrafungal and daily sanitizing," which she explained above in the comments.

@@CricketsBay yes, i ended up giving Itrafungol for 3 weeks but no dips. kittens were ok, but my old cat got it from them and lost a bunch of fur. cleaned everything i could in the house, then hired sanitizing service for floors. nightmare.

Those ads are so disgusting. I've been told you can go into the settings on your own KZbin account and deselect political ads so you don't see them. Also, KZbin creators supposedly have controls so certain types of ads don't get shown on their videos. These things do not work on mobile, only desktop.
