Thanks for the video, this really helps. Just got my 90:)

Nice touch, these red diff covers. I just assembled mine. You can find the video on my channel. The 180 size motor does well, just drove it about 1 hour in snow!

TheDIYGuy999 180 motor sucks I already know I built two already and have a clip of the 180 motor I’m going to make another one today with two speed transmission, Metal driveshaft, 320A ESC and 3s Lipo. These trucks need N20 or 370 motors to Crawl on expert trails. The 180 motor did not last 15 minutes on a tough trail. So today you get to see the most modified one yet and you get to see the 180 drive what little time it did in a real-world scenario
@gabrielsilvaz41995 жыл бұрын
Oh yeah if you want to see how to make it Winch controller, light controller and Signal light controller. You should check out my video series on this truck. My trucks have a back up light so they can back out of the trail in the dark which is very important a real scenario

looks like the axle input assemblies are much tighter built and smoother than older WPL, their short shafts made for a LOT of slop in the axle bevel gears causing problems if not fixed during or after building. did mine during C24 build, did it to a 20 dollar RTR B1 also. "knock on wood" haven't had any problems with the stock plastic bevel gears, and WPL could easily fix that issue by putting 2.5mm thick bushings on the axle inputs instead of the 2mm ones used everywhere else. your last video, yup correct! if B1 is 1/16 (I'm thinking 1/18!) scale, but scale wise the C24 being same width+length, its 1/14 if anything. C24 and MN-90K side by side really look the same scale to me, the NewBright bodies you've used fit right in at about that number too. edit: I'm also surprised how soft those coil springs really are, does look like it really needs something for damping the way it rocked at the end of this video. has me wondering if there's room for a small screw hole top of the lower shock shaft to put a small circle of something like bicycle inner tube there for a little friction damping, or enough clearance between lower X shaft and "shock body" to put heat shrink on the X. if so, heat shrink would drag some and friction damp, cool as long as it didn't affect the articulation/flex.
@gabrielsilvaz41995 жыл бұрын
If you don’t want to rock converted to leave springs and it would stop it. I wouldn’t because I want it to be just like it is softer Springs flex more reliably. Also these D 90’s are a little top-heavy which makes all most all D 90’s with four link suspension Rock like that it’s normal.

Wow that looks awesome you do make it look so realistic and you make it look so easy putting it together which I know it probably isn't but good job I really like that kit
@modelnutty65035 жыл бұрын
WPL type builds do go together pretty quick and easily, C24 was about an hour or so. take Gabriel's "loose is good" advice on moving suspension parts as gospel, he's really got these things down pat!

Another really useful video for me with mine in the post as we speak! Can you explain the difference in running the motor you have fitted against the one supplied? Also can you link to the 180 you bought??
@gabrielsilvaz41995 жыл бұрын
MrSydoo I explained in the video the truck comes with everything except ESC, transmitter-receiver and batteries so the kit comes with the 180 motor and gearbox

I noticed there are not many parts for this crawler. Are WPL motors, axles, and drive shafts interchangeable with the MN 90?
@gabrielsilvaz41995 жыл бұрын
FN POG The only thing that’s is not interchangeable is the axle it self and diff housing. The gears are exactly the same as WPL

Very nice dear...where do you get that men figures which shows in starting of video ? And I want to install lights with proper functional system like back red lights, right and left indicators yellow lights, so do you think it has space in it for module?

rc zone oh yeah😅I bought the action figures at eBay. I can talk more about them on my next video in more detail. The taller action figure is made by vortex toys and the other one is a 25th anniversary Home alone Kevin McCallister made by NECA with a Hasbro Han Solo action figure head.

Wow I didn’t expect that much flex out of those shocks setup. This one looks like a good deal to me So does this one come with both types of roofs in the box or you have to order the type you want? Great video 👍
@gabrielsilvaz41995 жыл бұрын
Hansaka Nakulugamage I know right and with cargo weight the truck should flex very nicely on the trail. Oh yeah this one only comes with one roof set up it’s the D-90K. The other one is the D-91K it’s Three or four dollars cheaper. Thanks 🙏 for Watching ☺️
@nhansme5 жыл бұрын
Gabriel Silvaz Thanks for that 🙏 I prefer one with the full roof the green one you built on this video.so I will order D90.

for "budget" and "scale" crawlers at their size, can't really do much better than these WPL and similar to start with. there are metal drive shafts, gears, axles, axle bridges, axle casings (big bucks now), and ball end threaded rod 4 link suspension+steering kits to add weight low and articulate easier too, if you want to drop some money into one for it to do more+better. I'm cheap, I just wrapped solid core solder on the rims between the tire beads, stretched electrical tape tight (sliced narrower) 3 wraps over that with a spot of CA to keep the tape stuck. enough weight down low to aid traction and flex, helps prevent rollovers too. with the slot between the tire beads (WPL) there's room to add quite a bit of wheel weight like that. with dual gear motor setups for power, the plastic drive shafts and gears hold up pretty good anyway.

What capacitor to use for this motor? I’m not sure which capacitor suit for this motor?
@gabrielsilvaz41995 жыл бұрын
Riq Boy I’m using 104 capacitor
@gabrielsilvaz41995 жыл бұрын
start light There’s a lot of things that the kit doesn’t include the question is do you need any of that stuff? And the answer is yes that’s why when you buy a ready to run version the motor comes with a capacitor. Just like almost any electric toy you buy take it apart guess what you’ll find...you guessed it a capacitor! I don’t do things just to do them. the motor needs a capacitor to help it run more smoothly, last longer as well i’ve been Hobbyist for over 25 years. You can say I’ve seen a thing or two.

hi there. whats the function of the capasitor?
@gabrielsilvaz41995 жыл бұрын
Nelson Clement Hi! 👋 Basically the capacitor stores energy and allows the motor to work more efficiently by discharging more energy consistently also makes the motor run a lot smoother. There’s a lot more science to it but that’s basically what it does.

The gear of this rc . It's same to wpl?
@gabrielsilvaz41995 жыл бұрын
owwss? hahaha! These trucks I have the same gears but different axle housing and slightly longer axles since the defender is wider than the Toyota. There’s a couple videos out there with WPL converted into D90 And they didn’t think about the wheel base beings correct.The trucks they are using other videos look scale but when the other Toyota is beside it is exactly the same height and width which just isn’t the way it is in a real life. Toyota would be lower more narrow.
