You can raise the rear by putting the leaf springs on top of the rear axle and flipping the shock mounts. I made a new 3d printable extended plastic center shaft for the oem driveshafts as they are a shear component meant to be replaced if you overload the axles. Saves the stock diffs from breaking in binds. Really easy to swap on trail.

And here's another one I have spotted, I don't know if others have the same issue but with the 2 after market drive shafts, (motor to diffs) they are actually for the plastic diffs as they have a 4mm pinion. The after market diffs have a 3mm pinion so when the shafts are installed and the grub screw is tightened, the drive shafts are off centre and in turn vibrate. I thought I could even it up using some heat shrink but that didn't work so instead I ordered some 4mm brass tube (.5mm thick) so hopefully that will bring the drive shaft holes down to 3mm. It's crazy, these parts are all in one conversion kit, yet they are actually designed for the plastic axels. Working with these after market parts is very challenging as there seems to be 0% quality control. If the brass tube doesn't work I'm going back to plastic diffs.

Thanks for the additional info, lesson learned I won’t be upgrading any similar models in a hurry . I’m thinking of getting the new Range Rover but will be keeping that stock maybe change wheels .

Not sure if you've had the same problem as me but it looks like your axle (maybe both) is missing a bearing. There should be one on the inside of the drive shaft with a small shim/washer and then on the outside of the case where the driveshaft pokes through I think it's a 6mm x 2.5mm with a 3mm center. I could see on the video at 5:45 you will notice that the driveshaft is not straight. If there's no bearing the shaft flops all over the place and binds like crazy. There is a small 'well' or groove for a bearing to fit into, I guess the Q/C on these parts is non existent.

Yeh I think you’ve nailed the problem, I ended up taking the hop up axles off and returning to stock . I’m tempted with the silver release with more lights . Thanks for watching

You didn’t do oil filled shocks? I would think that would be the number one thing to get replaced. Curious to see how this does it looks great.

The shocks didn’t fit

@ oh dang thanks , I just got this little rig couple days ago. And I ordered the metal axles, metal links and shocks.. I didn’t get the metal drive shaft figured it wasn’t necessary.
@warehouse14292 ай бұрын
@ seems like it really just needs the front shocks to be oil filled

You need to shim the axles so that there's no play inward, both front and rear otherwise it will bind whenever you hit a bump
@RcScaleTales8 ай бұрын
Yeh would of taken your good advice , both axles are broken now so originals are back on . Not impressed with parts I received so truck is mostly stock original now

@@RcScaleTales broken how? Parts are cheap to replace however, it's not specific to the MN82, seems like all the RBR/C parts have quirks lol

@@RcScaleTales At least it may be possible to use the metal axle parts to replace and reinforce some of the original parts, like the metal steering knuckles and joints. I experimented by modding my MN82 with a different rear axle configuration that changed the shaft angle and lift and have had good results on the stock parts while I will upgrade the front shaft to metal. I didn't want to buy a full kit because of both the price and potentially sketchy fitment and tolerances that I've seen other reviewers complain about, so I started stock, thrashed it, and am gradually getting upgrades where they are required.
