This is a song I almost forgot from my teenage years. Growing up in a strict protestant home, in retrospect a pretty emotionally abusive one at that, this was one of the first songs that managed to tear through my emotional defenses and let me experience my own raw emotions. I am still overwhelmed today by the power of this song.

Zachary Miller I think the sound you are referring to is actually a synth layered on top the guitars. But the guitars also have a chorus or phaser effect on them before it hits the amp/distortion. Creates a nice retro vibe, I feel u on that.

I remember when this album came out. Dammit I was fucking mindblown. Saw 'em live with Fear Factory in Belgium shortly after and I never looked back. Brilliant track, album and band. If Guillaume's passing (reste en paux fieu) can have even more meaning (the guy was an amazing singer), va rog Mircea, reunite Mnemic with Michael (just as amazing) and bring back that greatness.

Saw these guys at a bar here in my hometown a few years ago. It was freaking awesome. And an added plus was finding out the band members were from Denmark, me being half Danish, I messed them up when I started speaking to them in their native tongue. All except the singer they had then, he was Swedish, and I don't speak Swedish..it was a fun night.
