Thank you Dr. Lee for explaining these dangers and keeping us aware of what is happening concerning Trump.

Thank you, Dr. Lee. You are a true patriot and a very brave woman. You have more backbone than many men. I speak about many men in our government. A cabinet seat for a person of your caliber should be created. If that were done, perhaps the United States would finally give Mental Health the attention it deserves. You are a true leader.

Thank you Dr. Lee. Your discussion of collective psychosis reminded me of Rene Girard's scholarship and his concept of mimetic contagion.

I hope Kamala consulted with Bandy Lee prior to tonight's debate. If I were running for President, I would definitely want advisors like Bandy Lee to help me navigate the psychological minefield of Trump's warped mind. Dr. Lee obviously knows her stuff.

It's outrageous that Dr. Bandy Lee was blocked talking to us, we the people. By the American Psychiatrist Association. We should sue them. She is so importantly warning of him. The people in the world have a right to know about that. Because it will harm us all.

What that should tell us is those that R pulling the strings R very powerful. And that those at the top of psychiatric associations are willing to sell their soul

We're all in it for the long haul. We are in an age of malignancy. Too many have accepted the individual above society as the norm where this never was and never can be the case. Health is always the answer and the priority: the health of the individual, the community, society and the nation. We seek to cure radical individualism and isolation in these modern times. We must point out the malevolence of their radicalization at every opportunity, limit their unnatural violent rhetoric and minimize the effects of their widespread malice. "We won't go back."
@humanbeing93523 ай бұрын
Yes, I agree about your point that the individual in American society has been place above and separate from society - the social body. This is a remnant of the value of the individual in European Enlightenment thought and the struggle for freedom from oppression in the context 1700 century thought. This context is not longer a political crucible for this radical individual. It has been replaced by the performative self, reacting to the context of consumerism and the entrenchment of social media.

In the past 8 years in posting about Trump, I’ve learned from 3 separate Psychologists that Narcissistic Personality Disorder is now a worldwide pandemic. All 10 Personality Disorders are the result of early childhood trauma (Acute Childhood Experiences, or ACES), and most often that comes in the form of child abuse, neglect and/or abandonment. In Trump’s case, he has multiple disorders, collectively referred to as Malignant Narcissism, which is far worse than Narcissistic PD alone. It’s Lethal. No exaggeration. Dr. John Gartner explains this in the excellent video, UNFIT, and also is a co-host in the SHRINKING TRUMP videos. Gartner was also one of the Contributors to Lee’s Book, the Dangerous Case of DT. One of his regular guests is George Conway, who started a Political Action Committee called PsychoPAC.org. He’s doing amazing work with it, so check that out too, if you like.

@@bliss4383 -- Yes, I am aware of their work. Trauma and abuse have been with the world a long, long time. I believe it is possible to break the chain. I believe in education, truth and logic. I recognize that convincing individuals to change and grow can only be accomplished with care. War only continues the abuse and malice. I believe it is possible to care, to change and grow, to remedy the cycle of abuse. We can never remediate the past through retribution. Somehow, we must learn from our mistakes and make it better. I hope and believe it's possible. I have to.

Dr. Lee is brilliant and what's more she has integrity, unlike the weaseley cowards of the APA, who know perfectly well of the Duty to Warn. These cowards are a disgrace to humanity.

This needs to be shared and seen by the millions. My biggest take away is to remain certain in my heart of hearts that violence comes from fear, not from strength.

Ms. Lee, Mr. Vrettos, thank you for such a thoughtful discussion. I am thinking that you also need to identify that means by which the Trump contagion was transmitted through society. The corporate media is largely to blame and more specifically the right wing channels that support and promote Trump’s irrational monologue, lies and disinformation. These propaganda machines also need to be understood as part of the problem, without them, there is no Trump contagion being spread.

😮Yo ‼️ Its one thing to have the awesome opportunity to get the chance to have such an incredible, solidly-articulate & so deeply intelligent an intellectual... Mind you, Dr. Lee, who's @the top of her game & so very-well respected in her profession. Dr. Lee, a forensic psychologist, book author & thought-leader amongst other things. A professional held in high esteem by her peers. •We ask• WhatsUp with this podcast "host" in the ways that he addresses Dr. Lee in the ((3rd-person-pronun))??❓ Ex: The host just seems so comfortable to indirectly addressing, speaking abt & referring to her so informally‼️ •Yes. We find this pretty offensive• His obvious informality's kinda weird but true, & really grossly-disrespectful in our opinion... Compared to the many other channel-hosts, journalists, interviewers & media persons who've situated themselves quite strikingly different in contrast to this guy's approach. ~Anyone out there with similar optics btw?
@jmoberg0013 ай бұрын
Is Dr. Lee still prevented from presenting her views on national media? How is this enforced. Surely, the APA cannot prevent major television networks or newspapers from interviewing whomever they wish. She needs to be heard by the widest plausible audience.

He doesn't fight for his "own mental health!" He fights for Social Dominance. And if the MNN host fails to.understand tbat social dominance is a drug, inducing vast hormonal reward/persisgence, this host needs considerable basic ability to recognize common child, teen and adult social behaviors. A professional mental health education should not be necessary, yet an elderly man has achieved no understanding that commonly occurs to sub-teen and teen individuals.
