It’s illegal to pay someone less based on race, sex, etc. Don’t like the deal.. negotiate. A black nurse doesn’t make less money than a white nurse. A black teacher doesn’t make less money than a white teacher. A black police officer doesn’t make less money than a white police officer. And it’s the same for women. A female teacher doesn’t make less money than a male.. etc. people make these braid generalizations but never bring cold, hard, undeniable facts to the table.

@goldenrose14452 жыл бұрын
@@mariastewart8810 Where are your statistics that black women make less? This whole "black women only make 63 cents for every dollar a white man makes" is bogus. If they have the exact same job, and the exact same experience.. they make the exact same amount. It is illegal otherwise. Unless you take a statistics class, you can be easily fooled by statistics. Often times they don't paint the whole picture. They cherry pick information they want, and don't factor in the other important variables. A lot of times these statistics say something like "a black woman with a bachelor's degree only make 65% of what white men with a bachelor's degree make". What is their degree in? If you are comparing a Bachelor's in Social Work to a Bachelor's in computer engineering they won't have the same rate of pay. If you are comparing a bachelors in nursing to a bachelors in nursing.. do they work in different states? That changes things. Does one work for a private doctor's office and the other a public hospital? That makes a difference.

She not only allowed me to enter her personal space but before I could ask for a pic stated she was drawn to my energy. She asked my name and then proceeded to ask me an odd question, what do you do for a living? I told her I was a hospice nurse and that's when she asked if she could hug me and then of course I did. At that moment it was no longer awkward as a fan asking her for a pic. She put her hands on me embracing my energy, wrapped her arms around me and gave me one of the most amazing pictures ever taken in my lifetime. God bless you always, much love and respect. Let me tell you this segment had me SHOOK!!!! This woman has NO reason to lie. And people that really know the industry know that she’s telling the truth. It’s a very go along to get along place where you thrive the most from your connections. Monique had the audacity to say NO and that was the problem. She was only ever asking for her fair share. This situation is insane because she should be in movies regularly and getting paid top dollar for the years she has put in! She is too talented to have to sit up here and endure this cruel treatment from her OWN people. This is why we as a community can’t get anywhere. What an incredible interview Maddie I really hope Monique can get the justice she truly deserves.

I pray that Monique comes out of her lawsuit victorious! I know god will redeem her! She went against the Hollywood machine. This happens everyday for women of color in the work force. Less pay, pressured to be obligated to do tasks not in their jobs, and women who dare to speak out are in fear! As a Native American woman, I’ve worked in a full white office with only one black sister. We were made to do tasks that were not required in our job description and talked down to by our supervisors. Know your worth ladies and walk away! God will put you where you deserve!

I cried watching this interview because for whatever reason some black folks really get off on putting and keeping other’s that look just like them DOWN! This is so heart breaking and sad. Why is it so hard to just love one another black people? Y’all scream Black Lives Matter until they are in the position of power and now they inflict a similar kind of pain they’ve felt. Now that they can put their feet on someone’s neck, that energy is not directed towards the ones that really deserves it but towards your own people who you know generationally have been treated like shit! That cycle of abuse don’t end just because they have money. Now they can inflict even more pain to others and hide behind “well I put people in movies and give them opportunities” fuck that opportunity if it comes with evil energy behind it and as soon as you say something they don’t like, this is that cycle you see in your homes and people will do exactly what they did to her but in different situations but the outcome is the same. You end up hurting the people around you. I love you Monique and TS I’m officially a fan! Peace be with you all.
