Growing up on greats such Gene Watson, Vern Gosdin, Merle Haggard, Waylon Jennings, Loretta Lynn, Willie Nelson, Glen Campbell, George Jones to name just a few...the modern country music list is lacking story telling, true feelings and music that touches your soul.... Listening to Moe Pitney always takes me back to the early 80s when I lived in Dallas and played in a Charismatic Baptist Church orchestra. It reminds me of my struggle with faith as the son of a scientist, immersed in intellectual pursuits. Now, with a changed perspective, his music rekindles that time and ignites a sense of nostalgia and faith based gratitude. Thank you, Moe Pitney, for evoking such powerful memories and emotions.

Please don't change. It is SO refreshing to see someone young come along who holds true to "real" old-style country music and doesn't need all the flash, glitz, and smoke on the stage. Mo is a great story teller as well as a great singer. When I was much younger I used to spend hours and hours sitting in a room by myself playing the guitar and singing country songs. Brings back lots of great memories.
