"too old for fun" never! :) I'm not sure what the exact motorcyclist term for "golfing duffer" is but that's what I'd be. I'll call it a TW riding duffer :). We do tend to put dents in our TW's but worrying is not something us "duffer's" worry about. Glad this video could make you relax some. If you're not already aware or a member, there is a good TW forum: www.tw200forum.com. Lots of great general, technical, performance and riding information. I'd be the "Admiral" on that forum in case you visit it. Have a great time riding and having fun on your TW. Yeehaw!

@@klnrgj01 Thanx. I didn't know there was a website. Thhat's great. I'll head over there. P.S. How DO you stop worrying about all the damage you know you are going to do to your bike? lol

Lots of spills. But what the hell, that terrain was really tough

Thanks for watching. Just got back from Moab a week ago. Maybe I should make a 2021 version of this video. We didn't ride as tough of trails as we did in 2017 but there were still moments! It was more fun than work lol. My idea for this video was to show the spills as well as the great riding scenery. Lots of people don't show the crashing or falling...which happens a lot...for me anyway. :)

@@klnrgj01 I appreciate your honesty. If there were no spills and falls, all these bike operators wouldn't be showing up in equipment that looks like a NHL hockey player.

Loved the part where the guy is debating whether he broke his foot and whether to head back or not. I have had many "i might have broken whatever bone" moments. It's generally better to lay it safe as being a tough guy has put me in bad spots before.

We all have those days for sure. I myself have ridden injured a few times and hope to never break my foot again :)

Great video klnrgj01! Lots of "hold my beer, I got this" moments! I'm ready for another Moab weekend now

Thanks for the compliment. I'm not a great rider but I struggled even more than normal on Gold Bar Rim. Started to get better on Golden Spike but had trouble in 1 or 2 places. Poison Spider was great. We've planned to skip Moab this year but after making the video I questioning myself if that was wise. We love it there but our plan is to ride other places in southern Utah for a change of pace. We saw there was a trail system over by Cedar City but I understand there was a fire this past year so we'll see. I understand there may be some riding in the San Rafael Swell area too. Thanks for watching.

Moab is great for quick and easy (logistics-wise) riding but there's plenty of awesome alternatives that aren't too far away from you and I. The places you mention are on my hit-list as well.

I don't know how I missed this video?! That is some tough looking terrain 😬 The thought of my bike getting destroyed scares me more than falling or getting hurt, haha. Good thing it's a HUGE park with plenty of options 😉

Unbelievably large area to ride. On many trails you get a taste of it all like rock step ledges, sand, hard pack and one can't forget the slickrock. Slick rock has great traction. It's name is misleading to us rubber tire users. I think it got it's name from pioneer wagons with steel wheels. You're gonna never want to leave the place...motorcycle riding wise that is.

What TW group puts together these rides?
@klnrgj016 жыл бұрын
Informal group gathering from riders of the TW200 Forum. (www.tw200Forum.com). We've also been to Moab (2015, 2016, & 2017). About a month ago we went to San Rafael Swell instead of Moab but next April/May we're going back to Moab. There are other small regional rides put together but as is our style, nothing real organized.

klnrgj01 I’ll have to join that forum. I would like to find other folks to ride with around Utah and the west.

All i want is a Tw. But dealers can't get them. I'm from Michigan. The dealer told me he did care if i had cash. He would rather Finance it because he could make more money. -_-

The lack of TW's is weird. The lack of TW's wasn't really an issue before the 'rona. I've got lucky and got all mine (new ones) a few years ago. Hopefully, you can find something soon with the summer riding season closing in :)
