On a nice summer day I set out for an adventure to explore some high up places. An adventure is for sure what I got, maybe a bit more than I bargained for. But many times it's the struggles that bring you to the best destinations far away from it all. Sometimes with beautiful sunrises.
Whatever you do, make it an Adventure.
filmed in July, 2018

WOW.... I am afraid of heights and the road scared the nonsense out of me watching you go by the cliffs, but when you came to the snow and the bike slipped..... I would have left the bike behind, changed my underwear and walked back down the mountain. NO WAY could I have done that and I'm well over 60 y.o. I had a similar thing happen to me on a quad in Nevada and I will NOT do things like that EVER again. I was ready to let $8,000 roll off the edge. Had it not been for others to bail me out... it would be at the bottom in a million pieces. Of course I was the "JOKE" all weekend and am usually mentioned at all the campfire stories... so it worked out. I didn't die and everyone has got a great story to laugh at around the campfire!!! Keep safe my friend, KEEP SAFE!!! Thanks for sharing...
@TDubsKid
@TDubsKid 4 жыл бұрын
haha yeah it's pretty steep on that side of the mountain. yeah it just looked like I could do it but didn't realize how much the rocks would slide down like that dang, yeah quad on something like that is terrifying. they would just roll to the bottom, bikes will usually dig in unless it's really really steep. glad you did ok haha yeah everyone has experiences like that at some point thanks! keep safe as well, thanks for watching

So much to like in this video, TDK. Your upbeat and snappy banter, the Epic approach to and ascent up the peak (great drone and camera work), then the capper, the near catastrophic traverse of the scree field, the genius use of your recovery system to escape and then the angst inducing revelation that you would have to recross it to get out. I have to agree with those who have said this is the best motocamping yet. More adventurous than Indiana Jones! It’s meager pay, but please accept my “like” as thanks for all your hard work and sharing some of yourself and your adventures. Great job.

I’ve watched a few of your videos. The Pure joy of riding and exploring really shines through. Great video and editing skills. Your upbeat attitude and never say die, let’s see what’s down this road is infectious. I rode through colorado once in 2006. Pretty amazing place. You can have eastern Colorado though. Flat boring. Featureless. . I too am into it. My ride is a klr 650. I’m now living in Oregon. I gotta get out riding more. Oregon is lots of fun too. Backroads forever Thanks. Keep it coming

hey thanks for watching! much appreciated. exploring is so addicting because you never know what lies ahead. for sure I wish there were more trails in eastern Colorado sometimes wide open areas can be interesting sometimes too. very nice, Oregon seem like a great place for a dual sport as well. ill keep them coming, ride safe 😀

man nice video, i have been many times in the same situation like yours when sliding downhill, i have to say without any tools,i carried the bike on my back, survival instinct, i have bought an old 1988 TW, and i have no extra gear, your list of gear is amazing but it costs a fortune, so thumbs up to you, but also people you can do it without any extras,though i have to admit the rope seems like life saver! kydos to the true hardcore TWers around the globe

@@TDubsKid Definitely. Bro I have been losing my mind since selling both of my motorcycles to move here. These millions of miles of trails are calling me!! 10-12 days more before I finish this job and get paid and I will have a bike IMMEDIATELY. Looking daily. Any advice on what to get? Im 220lbs 6ft with 31 inch midseam. I owned a 1979 YZ250 when I was kid and had a TTR225 that just got sold before I moved. TTR was a dog. Want something a little more spunky.
