Fantastic video. Im heading there for the first time tomorrow. It is GREAT to see that riders as good as yourself also crash, makes me feel better about when I crash. Of course, you smile through the process whereas I beat myself up for a week. Thanks for the video....nicely edited.

Thanks Kerry - have fun! Kinda wishing I was back there now. I see riders way better than me crash too, it's kind of a testament to how fun mountain biking is...we can hurt ourselves but keep coming back for more.

Respect man, was just in Moab on an Enduro dirtbike for 5 days, the climbs up the rock shelves are pretty easy on dirtbike if mentally daunting. But man you guys fly downhill.

Luke I have to say that there a few really good videos of this trail out there but this one is at the top of the list. I like the way you edit the vids. The music selection was great. Your bring a very unique style of riding and filming that tells a good story. I love some of your other videos especially Lord of the squirrels. Hope you upload the rest of your Moab trail videos. Heading to Moab to ride this at the end of the month. Keep up the great job very inspiring!!

Thanks for the video. I've ridden Moab once but only drove through Castle Valley as I was a newcomer and was discovering the trails when I got there. So beautiful. BTW, at 7:22 into the vid you took a close look at the ground, so to speak, when the bike skidded. Do you wear pads or other protection for that. Pretty rugged.

I can't believe how many riders where on that lower part. I rode it yesterday. I had a small group of 3 ahead of me (same pace so I didn't catch up). Didn't see another soul the rest of the ride. Nice footage...my gimbel died 2 days before, so I couldn't film my ride. :(

There were so many - the last section on lower was actually very bottlenecked. I'm jealous you had it mostly to yourself, that's more my preference :)

I was in Moab in spring break. I remember that I road my bike from town to porcupine rim. Never again I should’ve shuttled! I thought I wasn’t going to make it out. Haha
@LukeMTB6 жыл бұрын
Sounds brutal! Yeah the cool thing about Moab is that you can shuttle all of these cool trails so that you can enjoy the downhill much more. As you saw trails are pedal-y anyway even with shuttling.

Thanks Eric! No flats surpisingly. Saw a lot of people on the trail who did, however. I ran a DD minion up front, a single ply Griffin out back. 32/30 PSI (I'm 210lbs). My friend was running single ply Highrollers I believe.

Love the bike design kzbin.infoUgkxHL1v1R3NE5x4KiYfyt8dnQmyNYz7qi5L and functionality. It is hard to align the front tired to center the disk brakes. The brake wheel touches the stationery side of the brake caliper and pad. I aired the tire up to 40 psi as the markings say 40-60psi. Left the house for a few hours and came back to an exploded innertube.All in all it seems to be a good bike. Have not ridden it yet though so that's the max of my knowledge. Update, put a new innertube made sure the tire was set properly and it did the same thing in under 20 minutes as second pic shows.

It went together easily in less than an hour. kzbin.infoUgkxHL1v1R3NE5x4KiYfyt8dnQmyNYz7qi5L Make sure the front fork is forward or the pedals will hit the front tire. Tires are both a little soft so it needs air before I ride it. The rear wheel didn't come with a clamp regular bolts hold it on. The front had the clamp. No scratches out of box. Rims are a little off with a slight wobble. They could have spent more time with the spoke tool fixing the run out. So far out of the box I'm happy with it. I did replace the pedals with a nice aftermarket set. After riding it a bit my A$$ is a bit sore so I ordered another seat. Overall I'm nearly 60 and didn't ride a bike in 30 years. I like my new 29" Schwinn. It will be used for casual rides with my friend.
