One thing for sure you two have greatly improved your riding skills since first purchasing the 690's.

Good job guys. Exciting to think about riding around the world. One piece of riding advice is to learn to feather your clutches more. You can control your speed and power to the ground much better. Keep practicing. Getting better.

That’s a rough trail on a bike, especially the south section. You guys are killin’ it!

Thanks for sharing your thoughts on riding with full gear/weight. I still think you should try some sections without the weight to build skills and then add full load. Build your way up. All about risk management

Maannnnn I wish I had had my bike when we went to Moab. Took the family though so we were loaded down in the big ol suburban and had to stick to the easy trails. I'll be back for these ones though! I'd like to know what you decide for tires. Looking for a new set of knobbies for my 690 too. I was honestly going to get the TKC80s as they're DOT knobbies and about the only set in the right sizes. I absolutely dig why you guys are riding trails with your gear. I do the same thing a lot of times. No offense to you guys and I mean this with the best of intentions, Pete you might have to slow it up for Dan every once in a while. I watch these videos and he tries hard to keep up and makes big mistakes sometimes. It's all part of learning and he'll get to your speed but he needs a LITTLE more time. Again, I know people hate to have their riding critiqued but I just don't want to see you guys get hurt bad with someone riding outside their experience level.

Peter \ Dan that was awesome! The scenery was amazing! Dan that was a rough slide. Peter sorry no input on the tires. I will say I agree that riding the way y'all do with all the gear will prepare y'all for more adventures. BTW congratulations on almost 8K subscribers!

Pretty cool trail , nice video ! I guess you do have your reasons for the choices you make with regards to the bike and gear and yeah I can see why but I wonder how sustainable that will be in the long run . I rode from age 11 till age 25 and in that time I broke 4 ribs , my back in 3 places , almost lost a finger and too many cuts and abrasions to begin to count . It was fine mostly except for the back thing that really sucked for many years . I hope you can avoid all the injuries I had although you do a very different kind of riding from what I did , I lived in a very rural area and there were trails right off my dirt road I lived on and I could go for many miles without seeing anyone else and that was mostly on trails no more than a foot wide . I rode for fun , even when I raced at 4 corners in Barona in the early 70's (long gone track) I still was only doing it for fun , no goal other than that and that's where our reasons to ride are very different . At least I have a new found understanding of why now so that's a plus , will bee seeing your future adventures for sure , I'm not here hoping to see a crash , this isn't NASCAR :)

Dan buddy I felt that slip and slide all the way through my iPad ouch 😝 A lot of people said that the Dunlap aren’t worth the money these days years ago they were the top of the line I’ll have to do bit more research I know I’ve got Dunlaps on my Harley and they’ve only lasted for two maybe three years I’m already having to replace them i’ve also had a lot of guys say that the Michelin are really good ok 👌🏼🔥🤠🔥Camping Russ out PS I’ve already put 10 hours on my 2022 KTM 250 😂

Pretty rough trails there guys. I cringed when you slipped on the trail. Really tough there to get back up and keep riding. What speeds did you go in the Fins and things trail. Be safe, see you on your next adventure video.

Hey guys, The Pirelli front and D606 rear are a very good choice, though I'd also recommend looking at MOTOZ Tractionators. They have a lineup of about 4 different tyres under this name for different types of riding. "GPS" for mainly road use. "ADVENTURE" for road, hard pack dirt and gravel road riding. "RALLZ" which are your more aggressive tyre (competing with D606) for off road with still decent on road handling and wear out the tyre. & finally the "DESERT" which is the most aggressive out of the 4 and a slightly softer compound, definitely more geared for off road, and won't last all that long if you're doing a lot of road. I have a couple mates running the RALLZ rear and DESERT front for mainly off road riding, and they're loving it. Just more tryes to think about :p ps. been watching your series since the beginning and I think this may be my first comment here, thanks for the content guys, really great viewing. Love from Australia 🤙

Have you considered the Rally Raid Dunlop D906? 606 are one of the best off road but wear quickly. The 906 have some better durability.
Gotta agree with Karen. Didn't know that trail was so gnarly! Nicely done. I'd go with the Pirelli MT21 on front and the D606 on the rear. Its worked well for me on my DRZ400s and my bike is over 300# but nowhere as powerful as your 690s. Thanks for the vid.

I’ve ran the 606/mt 21 setup on a drz400 for several years and on a KTM500, for more aggressive dual sporting the duo is hard to beat IMO. Huge fan of tusk products, however I wasn’t a fan of their 606 “clone”. Sweet rigs 👌🏼first episode of y’all I’ve seen, I’ll bite!

Love Moab! Though still think you should be riding smaller bikes. You should check out the Dutch girl who rides her Honda 250, she went all over Africa. (Don’t need a large bike to travel the world) I just hate watching you guys crash. Poor Mom! Stay safe!
