Moana 2 is an upcoming American animated musical fantasy adventure film produced by Walt Disney Animation Studios and released by Walt Disney Pictures. It is the second installment in the Moana franchise and a sequel to Moana (2016). The film is directed by Dave Derrick Jr. (in his feature directorial debut) and produced by Osnat Shurer. Auli'i Cravalho and Dwayne Johnson will reprise their roles as Moana and Maui, respectively.
Development on Moana 2 originally began in 2020 as a television series for Disney+, before being reworked into a theatrical sequel by February 2024. Shurer was confirmed to return as producer, alongside story artist Derrick as director, making him the first Samoan to direct a Walt Disney Animation Studios film. Mark Mancina and Opetaia Foa'i, the composers and co-songwriters of the first film, return to score and write songs, while Abigail Barlow and Emily Bear replace Lin-Manuel Miranda as songwriters.
Moana 2 is scheduled to be released in the United States on November 27, 2024.

@EdizAndBen aww thank you! 🥰 This should definitely be interesting, it seemed Wish and Strange World dodnt perform as well as they'd hoped so I suspect a Moana sequel may be a safe move for them to do this year, she's definitely a well loved character and the first film did quite well, so it's going to be interesting to see how this one goes!

4:17 This was my favorite part bc my ONLY complaint from the first movie was that I wanted MORE Pua! 🥰🐷 he’s so cute but they barely used him in the movie!

I’m literally obsessed with her & honestly gives out the best true information based on movies/tv shows & gives me an idea of how Disney projects does well. So when you pulled up the Neilsen Charts, I was like … the only person who talks a lot about the business aspects of movies/tv shows is her! AHHHH I’m gagged 🤣🤩

I have some ideas for your DLCs of Smash 4, Corrin could be Mal, because they can turn into a dragon. Cloud could be Riku because they’re both Square Enix characters, and if you added Riku into the game Sora can fight him. And Bayonetta could be replaced with Esmeralda, they have mean acrobatics, they are sick dancers, and Frollo calls Gypsies witches and Esmeralda can save herself. That is it, also Palutina and Rapunzel both have light-related abilities, Palutina is the goddess of light, and Rapunzel is the keeper of the Sun Drop. The long hair connection isn’t the only thing they have in common.

I loved your reaction of Moana, too bad Ediz wasn’t there but it was nice for you to go Solo, I am excited for Moana 2 as well, but the only thought I have is even though Moana looks really good, there is one shot in particular where she just dosen’t seem like Moana is don’t know, and the hair is a bit off as well, so i am not sure what’s going on there, but when she pulls an expression it does look like Moana and in some of the shots you kinda of see that too, so that is the only complaint I have so far, but overall it looks good, can’t wait, just that one shot is a bit off i don’t know what it is though.

Thanks Mila! Yeah, based on the images they'd released I was super sceptical about Moana's redesign, but seeing her in motion I am impressed with how good she looks!

@@EdizAndBen your welcome Ben, yeah the images of Moana are a bit unsettling but i am also surprised as you, of how good she looks in motion or doing an expression looks good, i also Moana in theatres and just the effects of the water and world oh my god on the screen looks AMAZING i was astounded with the visual effects of water especially on the big screen looks so beautiful.

@@EdizAndBen I think they will be good, I'm sure they will be better than the direct to video sequels in the 90s and 2000s. I just know that Walt Disney himself was such a bold man and didn't want to do sequels, and wanted to keep trying new things so it just makes wonder what he would think if he was still alive. But I'm still looking forward to Moana 2
