So great for Pua to finally go on an adventure with Moana, Maui and Heihei. My sister got a Pua doll for her 5-year old daughter earlier this month. My niece is excited for a Moana 2.

The beautiful thing about this sequel is the animation is stunning and Moana and her siblings is much more older in his film than the previous one. It's s not going to feel like a Disney Plus series because developments on Moana 2 was being reworked on to make a theatrical sequel by February 2024 to have thar cinematic with additional scenes and more music with Auliʻi Cravalho and Dwayne Johnson reprising their voice acting when it was announced as a series. The more recent Disney animated films was around 1hr and 40 ish now.......I'm curious now because we are getting a Princess and The Frog sequel Disney Plus series called Tiana and are they thinking about turning that into the film also?

The perfect mix of shots that show how consistent this appears to be with the original. Moana looks a little older in her face, but that's to be expected. I can't wait to hear the new tracks Te Vaka is cooking up for this movie.

I'm not a huge fan of Moana (don't get me wrong! The music is beautiful, the animation is gorgeous and all) but the sequel looks so astoundingly interesting Moana has grown so much (and from the looks of it, it looks like that the little girl that her parents are holding has got to be her little sister), the animation is beautiful and the trailer made it look interesting And its great to hear the original voice cast of Moana and Maui again

I definitely see where you’re coming from with the animation, Wendy. Thank god this series’ animation doesn’t look bad, like bad in the way that Megamind and the Doom Syndicate looked bad when it dropped on Peacock. And when I say that, I mean that the animation looks good for a $150M movie

Also, the series was gonna be 6 20-minute episodes, so I don’t think much of the story will change since this was a series that felt like one movie’s worth of a story chopped into 6 episodes.

I don't know if you remember some of the early 2000s Disney sequels but I'm with you on being afraid the TV show got scraped so they used it to make a disjointed movie. They did that a bit back then where the movie was effectively 3 episodes of the cartoon and I hated it. Tarzan sequel is the one that sticks out to me

I’ve never even seen the first one. But people seem to really like the first one so perhaps I should watch the first one to see if I like it & to see if I’d be interested in the sequel. Cause the trailer for this hasn’t really done anything for me but maybe it’s cause I don’t know these characters. The animation looks good though

Thanks for doing this reaction, Wendy and Dustin. I’m curious to know what you think could come out of this film’s potential success at the global box office. Could recent reports of the #Tiana series being turned into #ThePrincessAndTheFrog 2 for the movie theaters if #Moana2 does boffo numbers at the global box office be true? Because if they are, I hope to see that story get enough money and resources to make it Disney’s return to 2D/hand-drawn animation on the big screen. We’ll see.

I am a little bummed Lin Manuel Miranda isn’t coming back again to write the music because he’s one of the favorite song writers, but it’ll hopefully still be good regardless.
