Wicked for sure is going to be huge. All the theatre kids, the girls and the gays will turn out for this. Add to that Ariana Grande fans and the whole wizard of Oz nostalgia and the popularity of the Broadway show - this will be a hit. Just waiting to see how people will react when they find out it's only part 1 of 2 because this is the first musical in a while not trying to hide that it's a musical, but they sure as hell try to hide the part 1 of 2 aspect 🙈

When it comes to Giancarlo. I legitimately dont care who he plays really. Because whoever it is, he'll do spectacular. I have no doubts about it. Although I do personally think him as Charles would be next level. I know its not happening. Just saying, in a perfect world of my creating, I'd pick him. Wolfs looks intriguing. Ill definitely watch it based on that trailer alone. Hyped for anything Bob Odenkirk does. And when it comes to The Acolyte. I am hyped as well.

I’m willing to put a lot of money into Giancarlo Esposito playing Norman Osborn. The series is Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man (the design looks so much like him), the movie is the Fantastic Four (I’d guess an after credit scene and I’m also guessing that they’re in the same universe as the Spider-Man show because both projects have been rumored to be in different universes), and it’s just an absolute perfect casting. It will also solve the MCU Peter Problem because he would NEVER see it coming.

Hell I’m in Northern California and we get tv ads in the theater too. M&ms ads KIA ads etc with usually 4-5 movie trailers before the movie so it’s not just a European thing lol. Theaters need to make money somewhere with less people going to movies lately

I like the ABCDE game you’ve introduced. It would be fun if you gave the team the list first (with one write-in of their choosing) and then limited how many items they could put in each category so they were forced to have equal number of a-e’s. Then compare each item in a grid format to see how different the rankings are. Gets rid of bias from where others on the team rank everything and we then get the fun defense of why they ranked it that way.

@@koniko169 You’re right, most discussions on this show are pretty much just for fun, and for the love of movies. Like someone could say ‘why talk about films so much?!’, but the answer to that is, because we enjoy it. I get that. But for me, speculation talk feels pretty pointless, like it’s empty noise and a waste of time. ‘Maybe this actor could play this role.’ ‘What if we saw this character in this film?’ Sometime it just becomes pointless noise. But I get that it’s all part of our love of talking films.

@@alexp601 pointless noise is where its at sometimes. I do 2-3 of these shows in a row whole working on bigger projects. I personally appreciate the “huh, never thought about that actor playing this type of role” then my mind can wander a bit tinking about previous movies/shows ive seen them in. All the while, knowing im not missing key info that needs to be rewound and listened to with intense focus.

dr doom should be introduced post avengers' secret wars being the main villain of the mutant saga. they can tell dr dooms story in 3 phases and see his origin in a fantastic four sequel in phase 8 or 9. if they do an Agatha all along season 2 it would be set post avengers secret wars, and they could tell Cynthia von dooms story and her Mefisto connection. dr strange 4 could see the story where dr strange helps dr doom free Cynthia von doom from Mefisto. idk .

So John and crew, I don’t disagree that Giancarlo would kill as Norman Osborne, that character would NEVER work with the current intellectual property rights. Osborn is a Spider-Man character and thus controlled by Sony. Sony would want a full blown Spider-Man 4 if Osborn is prominent in it and I HIGHLY doubt they’d let their IP go into a Disney+ show.
