It's hilarious that you mention a Moana series. Moana 2 (2024) started production life as a series. However, an order from CEO Bob Iger himself changed that. Despite it looking good, I fear the super rushed production schedule will make it obvious that it was a series first. Fingers crossed that it will be good. Go in Peace and Walk with God. 😎 👍

Its funny...even with these newer Disney movies, the animated ones (i.e. Moana, Encanto, Princess and the Frog, Raya and the Last Dragon, Tangled, etc.) seem to understand and articulate SO MUCH BETTER what it really means to be a strong female character. THIS is what a strong female character is meant to be. Moana is brave and caring and strong and she wants to protect her people and her home, but she has to take a journey to get there. Yes, she is connected to the ocean, but its not all powerful, like live action Mulan with her Chi powers, or whatever this wannabe Snow White is trying to be. That is why her "rock" was a conch shell...she inspires her people.
