Nice! One suggestion for readability: Consider rewriting the complex rhythms such as 2 dotted 8s in a row as a dotted 8th and a 16th with a tie to an 8th. Syncopated half notes similarly with 8th+quarter+8th

We’re playing a Moana medley for band class, so I’ve been hearing that for the past few weeks. After being used to that, this just feels so... soulless I guess. I mean, it’s an amazing composition, that’s not the problem. It’s just because it’s midi. I’m getting a clarinet this Friday though, and I’m gonna start learning it. I learn instruments pretty quickly, so I’m gonna try recording this asap.

Midi does sound quite soulless, that’s why my main purpose of using it is so people can get a taste of the arrangement to tell if they want to play it themselves.

Good luck playing it with friends! Remember, if you don't have two bass clarinets you can always just use standard B Flat clarinets.

I wrote the bass clarinet parts with the range that would serve the arrangement best, not just to span the entire range of the instrument. That being said, if you want low notes, check out my Eleanor Rigby arrangement (it has a contra). The link is kzbin.info/www/bejne/Z4nQg4SDls6hi5Y.

@@MusicalExtravaganzayou should write in the range that fits the arrangement best, but bass clarinets don’t belong in the clarion register for extended periods of time. In fact, not a single note written for bass in this arrangement was not playable by a regular Bb clarinet. Regular soprano clarinets are going to be much more comfortable playing every bass line and I’d recommend replacing the two basses, if they’re not going to be written in the lower range

The melody is mainly exchanged between the first and second clarinet the entire time. In shiny, there are a few points where a bass clarinet has a run, but bass clarinets are also in B♭ so you can also play those parts on a standard B♭ clarinet.
