My fiancé and I went to sparks for our anniversary and it was nothing short of amazing. The owner even gave us a tour of the place and showed us what happened that night in 1985. He even showed us the table gotti and Sammy used to sit and said the next time we come in he would seat us there. Probably the best steak and best customer service I’ve ever experienced

My favourite Italian dining experience was at Visiwa Restaurant in Watamu, North Coast of Kenya. There's a big settler community in Watamu and Malindi beach in Kenya, many of whom were former Mafioso/Ndrangheta fleeing Mussolini's campaign in the 1920's to wipe out Italian organized crime, led by the _prefetto_ Cesare Mori (known as "the Iron Prefect"). If interested, there's a book by Federico Varese called _"Mafia on the Move: How Organized Crime Conquers New Territories"_ . I think it'd make a great series of videos to talk about the spread of Italian O.C past its original strongholds of Naples and Sicily and how government campaigns, regimes/regulations, border changes and immigration policies have fuelled such spread. Just a fun suggestion! Love your work as always!

My father-in-law told me that while his grandfather was alive the wiseguys were never allowed into Crisci's on Lorimer St. (now DeStefano's). Mike, great video, and I've got an idea for another one. You've done whole videos on the Kennedy Assassination and the death of Marilyn Monroe. You need to do a whole video devoted to Joseph Kennedy, Sr., the father of all the Kennedys, and whether or not he was a bootlegger during Prohibition. I've read conflicting accounts in different books. In Anthony Summers' "Official and Confidential", about J. Edgar Hoover, he quotes a story about Frank Costello saying that he helped Joe Kennedy make a lot of money in bootlegging. But I'm now reading "Camelot's End", about the 1980 Democrat Primary race between Jimmy Carter and Edward Kennedy, and the author says there's no evidence that Joe Kennedy was a bootlegger, and quotes a recent biography about him as proof. Please do your research, and make a video about this. Thanks.

Speaking of Carmine Galente -- I remember that when King Faisal of Saudi Arabia was assassinated, certain media reported that Carmine Galente attended his funeral. Was that true?

I don't see eye to eye with you on everything but I damn sure wanna shake your hand and hear about that Beatles cover in the Cavern club. I've seen a Beatles tribute show and it was really, really breathtaking how it feels like an almost sort-of... time warp. The show I saw would have old rabbit-ears TVs on the stage in-between songs playing old black and white Tang commercials and stuff, lol. Awesome experience. Lol, yeah. At the end there, framing the exodus of police who are escaping accountability as something your political enemy caused -- if that's not just rote lack of awareness, it's extremely low to do. I can think of 5 or 6 videos of yours with a political bend that are based on some false premises and misinformation. Come on, now.

I dont think its a bad thing to plug your own brand, especially if you've been working on it and have been putting in effort to create something you're proud of, keep doing you Michael.

Mr. Franzese. Hello and greetings from central N.J. Being in my 50's,I remember reading articles about you in "The Star Ledger", USA Today, and several national magazines back in the 80's. You were a very interesting man back then, and even more so now. Your stories are amazing, and it's incredible to hear about the events that happened from someone who was really there. Congrats on Your KZbin success, wine brand, and other endeavors. Best to You and Yours.

My first trip to New York I made a reservation at Sparks and it was good. I 100% agree with you about women in a restaurant. I've asked to be moved when a table of women can't stop cackling. Afterwards the server said. "I don't blame you for wanting to move."

OMG, I can relate to the restaurant story about the table of women just laughing so damn loud that it’s difficult for your dinner companion and me to hear each other. So rude and obnoxious. It happened last night at an Italian restaurant here in Seattle. Just gawd-awful.

Dante and Luigi’s in Philly is one of my favorite restaurants in Philly. They have great food. I would travel from Wilmington Delaware to eat there. I knew all about it being a mob place too lol

Spark's Steak House was a good choice for number one but I thought it would be Joe and Mary's where Carmine Galante met his end. The picture of him lying dead on the ground, cigar still clamped in his mouth is truly iconic.

I normally don't comment but I keep thinking about in the 80s my Moms gossip magazine i remember how they photo graph you and write about you. I remember how my Dad said you are a really smart person. I think between you being smart not selling out and your true desire to change your life is why you're still here. God has alot for you to do its pretty great that you took your smarts to help. And teach so many not to mention no matter what bringing people to God! God Bless you and keep up great things you are doing! Thank you ! you've helped me so much!!

Michael should come to St. Louis & go eat just about ANYWHERE on 'The Hill,' one of the very few TRUE "Little Italy" kind of neighborhoods left in The United States. The only negative part: it's rumored to have up to 12 ppl operating around The Hill who're allegedly with, or connected with, Cosa Nostra. Most think it's a crew outta The Chicago Outfit, I believe.

Michael, are you not sometimes worried? Are any of these people still alive? Because you name the murderer and proceed to say "I don't know if they were arrested or not". You think any of them may come after you for that?

Mr. Franzese, I did not know this history and most of these names. Umberto's Clam House is familiar and of course I know who John Gotti was and Dutch Schultz, but that's it. This was fascinating. The building that housed the Palace Chop House was torn down in 2008. Thank you!
