It was probably just easier for him to hire Bloods who already had records as felons and were desperate for work. If Suge would have hired professional security, be it former Seals or Delta, he would have had to sign a contract with them(which would have included healthcare and legal services in the event that they had to lay someone down), pay them top dollar(not the little two and three grand here and there that he was throwing to the Pirus). They don't care about gang politics and would not be getting into brawls over someone throwing up a gang sign or pulling their weapons over being called 'slobs'. Those guys are used to being personal protection details for four star Generals and Admirals and when they say 'sir, we need to leave... NOW!' their next step is to physically manhandle their principle(the guy their protecting) and get him out of the danger zone. They were not going to stand there while Suge went back and forth arguing with a Crip or anyone else. And if he didn't want to abide by their rules they would drop him as a client.
