@@Brandon-iu1lw Writing a good antagonist has a lot of processes involved, but it can (for the most part) be simplified pretty easily. First of all, your antagonist's stance should contradict the moral of your story. If they don't, then the end of your story won't have any symbolic conclusions for your characters. Second, your antagonist needs a motivation. Usually people say that a good villain thinks that whatever they're doing is good or at the very least justified, but this isn't actually always the case. A good antagonist can also feel guilt for what they do, but they often do it anyway, maybe because they feel they have to or maybe they think that they're doing it to reach a grand end goal. Either way, your antagonist needs to feel like a real threat to the protagonist while also feeling like a real person that would exist in your world. Hope this helps.
