I voted for the glare, and I want to say something that people didnt take in consideration. "it just does what the F3 screen menu can" Yes and I LOVE IT BECAUSE OF THAT. I would PAY just so the main features of that screen get an inmmersive In game replacement that I can use to have fun and explore different biomes. Hell, the Glare was even a new pet and could light up areas by itself. The F3 menu is useful, yes, but I despise the fact that has becomed a necessity for normal Gameplay that just patches desing holes from Minecraft. Plus it was the cutest.

I had a different interpretation of Copper Golems, which actually interested me. I thought they might follow you around as a pet and interact with copper buttons you come across, use cases being proximity triggers, refill stations, doors, iron doors especially as they are pretty difficult to use.

People are saying "allay is just an extra hopper" but i think it kind off makes them easier, hopper minecarts are expensive and really hard to understand for begginers, The same goes for the copper golem, people may say "there are alredy randomizers" but the copper golem is an easier solution instead of complicated redstone

But what are redstone randomizers even useful for other than making player games? Glare has a clear benefit for the player even if it's redundant. Allay has a very clear benefit to the player. I am boggled as to why so many people want the copper golem.

@@YeetusMingus personally i dont actually like the copper golem that much, but i understand why people want the copper golem We finally get another golem, a "use" for copper for casual players. Think about it like wolfs, they dont do that much damage or have that many uses but we still tame them because they are cute. Also remember it turns into a statue, something the playerbase has been wanting for quite sometime I see people making copper golem armys if it wins lol

i'm not sure about the allay being easier to use than hoppers. We don't know where it spawns and how to capture them, and since they fly it might be really hard to put them where you want to. I think mojang could figure out a way to make it work if it won, but imo the copper golem is better just because it's concept seems more reliable. You can build it wherever you want to and control when it moves by oxidyzing/deoxidyzing it. At the end of the day all of the mobs do look really cool and do interesting things, so no matter the result i think it's going to be a fun addition.

All the options are very cute, but I’m glad all of them have a purpose. Last years options all felt like fairly pointless derivatives of existing mobs. Glare has very little use now with the light level change. Would be cool to have running around with you when you’re trying to light up an area. I still think it’s neat but not an amazing addition. Allay is by far my favourite. Sure it’s basically a single item hopper, but I think it has serious potential for filter use in mob farms etc. And may even be useful for unstackable items, depending on speed/inv size. Plus the idea of having a companion play fetch and collect things for you is super cute too. Copper golem is a close second for me. Seems to be the easiest to manipulate/aquire. And whilst it’s a nice idea to have an entity that can trigger redstone, i don’t think there’s much difference than a named zombie and a pressure plate. The fantasy of creating it is cool, as is it becoming a statue if you don’t wax it and it oxidises. (Also I don’t think they’re holding back copper buttons if it doesn’t win, if they have an idea for how they work)

I personally prefer the Allay, but I would be fine with copper golem. I feel allay has more potential with farms and high tech stuff. Imagine using it to pick up items in a mining bore, or pick up loose items in a farm. It could also be used for other stuff, like looking for your dropped items. But if it didn’t win, I feel like it’s concept would be used again For copper golem, you could easily build a randomized, but more stuff would probably added with it. I remember hearing the dev of archeology saying that it could have some lore in archeology. The glare is mostly useless with the info we have now, but if they add more features or drops, I could see it being useful.

I agree. The Allay can even be useful for normal strip mining trips as well as bore ones. Where you just drop cobble, andesite, granite, redstone or anything that takes up space in your inventory that you might want later, and you get an allay for each of them and position a hopper next to a noteblock at the end of the mining tunnel. Same idea also works for mining out big areas for an underground base or a slime farm.

Lovely video! I really appreciate that you mentioned there's many reasons to vote for specific mob, not only their usefulness. It feels to me that for most people this voting is basically buying a slave for themself: "WHICH ONE IS THE MOST USEFULL? WHICH ONE WILL WORKS FOR ME THE HARDEST?!"

I really like the idea of a copper golem, but the allay is just superior in terms of usefulness and versatility as advertised. Finding low light levels is not a big deal and randomly pressing buttons is unnecessary since randomization contraptions are already trivial to make. But the allay being able to collect items and even be used to sort unstackable items means it is both convenient, and serves a function that doesn't exist in the game yet. I'd rather go for the allay and pray that the golem is eventually added with a different feature set.

One of the developers actually said that they were pretty excited about the Copper Golem's potential with Archaeology, if it's voted for. So I'm sure there'd be something like that.

Copper golem provides a better randomizer and a more immersive way to automize defensive or agricultural redstone structures. Hd also gives copper at least 2 more uses. Allay makes item sorters easier and can help with some semi auto farms without the need for hoppers. However we don't know how many items he can move or how to get it.

if you're a builder the glare is more your choice, the copper golem i'd say is for redstone randomization but you could just plop a pig or something on a small area with pressure plates

Im down for either, but my vote's for the allay. I never bother with item sorters so this is a neat alternative. However i cant help but feel that a certain sect is spoiled with terraria's mobs (more specifically enemies) to fight and as a result wanting more mobs for endogenous reasons.

He is most appealing aesthetically, and I really like the idea of having oxydizes one as statues(and new buttons are also cool addition)... and there is also potential lore. For the next vote I would like them to tell us what do the mobs do EXACTLY. It's cool to be funny and present them in a tidy way, but this doesn't help me at all. I NEED DETAILS The only things we know are: F3 mob Floaty hopper mob Hopper-dropper randomizer mob Seriously, don't get me started on the allay. Everybody who voted that was purely based on speculation and wishful thinking: We don't know if it will follow the player or stay in a block/area or if it roams free. We don't know if it will drop items consistently on a spot. We don't know the time, item, and effort costs it will have to make it more than an ambient mob. And other concerns I've seen from other people. At least they showed the glare and the golem as down to earth as possible; with little detail but with little room for imagination. One searches dark spots, the other presses random buttons. Maybe they both could do some extra things, and hopefully they would, but it was honest. The allay on the other hand was as vague as possible, so everyone filled the gaps as they needed.

I dont really care for any of the vote mobs. I feel like theyre added often just to have a mobvote and without a function anyone truly needs or that enhances the game. Like with mob C having its use be repurposed for the grindstone, which ended up being a fantastic build block.

My vote order is Copper Golem, then Allay, but honestly I'm fine with any of them Copper Golem serves amazing decorational and redstone uses, includes a copper button giving 2 new uses to the material, and I always think we need more golems The Allay seemingly functions as an entity form of the hopper, which could be quite useful The Glare is the only one I don't want to see, but that's not because it's bad, I really like the design and the concept of it, I just think the ideas for the Glare would be better used on another mob, the Bat. Bats currently don't really do anything, but if they always slept above blocks where mobs can spawn, and actively sought them out when disturbed with light sources, I think it'd make them a lot more than the annoyance they currently are

I really think allay is the best mob here, considering it can be used for different things, like sorting unstackeables, or being basicly wireless redstone if you get it to drop an item somewhere on a pressure plate or in a hopper far away from where you give it said item, it can also help to greatly reduce the materials for farms like hoppers or rails, although that might be slower and cause more lag if you need more allays. Not to mention how the allay is the cutest. The golem is alright, but I dont see a randomizer and statue being as useful as the allay

I wish the copper golem would have the Allay's ability. The golem's appearance and oxidization mechanic are really cool, but I don't care much for its ability. The allay is pretty uninteresting appearance-wise, but has the potential to save a lot of time and energy sorting items. Having both in the game at some point would be great too!

I just hate that these votes even exist. All they really do is cause unnecessary division. They could simply continue on as normal, with each update having just a little bit more time devoted to it thanks to no time needed to be spent on the vote ideas. And if anyone wants to say that community feedback is important… I agree! But instead of pitting ideas against each other, they could hold surveys like many other gaming companies do. That way no one feels any frustration about certain mobs/features being forever lost, and we can still have awesome updates, such as caves and cliffs, that exist BECAUSE of feedback. Instead, they hold these awful votes for one reason only; viewership. It’s a marketing tactic that really abuses the customer base and causes unnecessary division in the community JUST to get people to tune into the show and have more numbers to show off to investors and such. It’s incredibly frustrating.

It's like they made the game one way then introduce mobs to force you into another playstyle unless you decide to A download modifications to your software to change it to suit you, B buy a fix to do the same or C turn off the offending feature (peaceful/creative) but risk losing out on many other features of the game. Why is it that big youtubers giving their opinions count as "rigging" the vote? I mean whoever can't decide for themselves always turn to the opinion of others, that's how it works in the real world. Exactly because they have that status, theoretically if something is working then they have no reason to change it and run the risk of ruining their sucess. By doing it this way they slowly change the game instead of a sudden modification that could probably harm their popularity. The phantom is a great example of this, most of the community hated it, they could use this response to calculate and decide what they should avoid, even more, if the other mobs sucked too then the backlash would have been crazy.

I’m voting for the Glare because I tend to focus more on exploring and mining most of the time, and I’d like a little buddy to bring with me. I also think its function can be useful because I have trouble telling the difference between light 0 and light 1 or so in smaller spots. I love all of these mobs, though, and I hope the losers can be added into the game someday, especially my little cabbage ghost buddy because based on various community polls it seems like it’s going to be the first to get voted out :c

Before you say that moobloom sucks, tell me, would you like to see LIQUID HONEY/HONEY MILK ???? Cows give you milk, mooshrooms give you soup, that means there is no reason for moobloom to also give you something. If it's liquid honey, you can make honey rivers, and it would add something like a sticking affect if you bath in it. If it's honey milk, it could have given you more effects or having a fresh new purpose

By doing it this way they slowly change the game instead of a sudden modification that could probably harm their popularity. The phantom is a great example of this, most of the community hated it, they could use this response to calculate and decide what they should avoid, even more, if the other mobs sucked too then the backlash would have been crazy.

I feel like community votes should be on less important things like mob texature like imagine if they were like we are adding the copper golem now tell us which design looks best no matter how it looks you still get the same mob and could use a texautre pack if you didn't like the winner

Oh they’re not lost forever? That’s good, because I’d love to see more golems in general. Adding a golem solely for randomisation feels a bit silly, there are all sorts of manual interactions that could be automated with new golem types, just as has been done with the snow and iron golems. Though I must say, using mobs for utility purposes hurts game performance, especially if you want to have a large amount of them. I’d much rather see blocks and items (luxmeter, altimeter, etc.) as replacements for the F3 menu and item sorting for this reason.

I think glare makes sense as a mob as it will actively seek out dark spots instead of you having to find them yourself. Same with the allay cause it pathfinds, which a hopper minecart can't do

i like the allay because i don't need to be a redstonr engineer to use it but the thought of having a copper golem for aesthetics and also DJ copper golem is pretty cool , glare is kinda meh

I guess technically the glare would be more usefull because the majority of players do play on bedrock But i still think the allay is the best for java as the copper golem is a redstone randomizers but i like the look of it

Honestly they need to make their small show case vids have more in depth detail on each mobs quirk or use Since I bet if we found out how phantoms worked we probably would not have voted for it as we realise how annoying it will become same with glow squid ye it was rogged due to dream stans but i think there would have been ay least some more resistance if we realise ye this squid is useless and doesn't even glow As much as I hate glow squids I definitely think they deserved more mechanics as the potential was pretty high For example in the mob vote vids the glow squid had this hypnotise thing so they could have been maybe a craftable item that was a 1 use distraction making most mobs go towards the item instead of u but this will not work for more intelligent mobs like villagers,endermen and piglin brutes Ik it's heavily focused o glow squid but mainly cause its the most useless and lost potential in my opinion All though it seems to be the mob vote are much more in depth thank god
