End stone represents the end Dark prismarine represents loyalty Blaze powder represents magic Ender pearls represents teleportation Obsidian is used for dimensional travel Essentially the end portal is saying: "i seek a magic teleportation device loyalty to the end" Or atleast that's how I interpret it

Well Minecraft has no true end goal. As even defeating the ender dragon enables access to the True End. An infinite dimension of islands filled with loot structures and flying ships that contain elytra. Aswell as Chorus Fruit and End Rods. There's also the Wither and the Nether star which lets you make a beacon. Or the Village raids which let you become hero of the village and get really good trades. There's plenty of other goals. Defeat mini bosses like the Elder Guardian and the Warden. There's cumulative goals like getting more emeralds and diamonds. Getting better gear and enchantments. Getting the full netherite set. There's also achievements. Some of which require vast amounts of luck, knowledge and patience to get. But I feel the best way is to Enjoy the ride. It's the action of exploration and building that makes it worth it. And with friends it can even be more magical. It's something Vintage story, a game that spawned from a Minecraft mod taught me. In VS doing everything is a slow struggle. You need to find sticks and chip a piece of flint into an axe blade before you can chop a tree down. And you need to literally gather reeds and make baskets to have an inventory. In VS making anything that's not just a mud hut takes a lot of time and effort. So in Minecraft with years of mechanics becoming easier. It really only raised the roof for the grand things you can build. Minecraft has no end goal. It only gives you things to aspire to. The fun is getting there. And then some day when you've built your giant castle or your replica of some structure. You can feel accomplished. Especially when somebody else is there to enjoy it. One of the first features added to Minecraft was Multiplayer. The game has always been a social game. The first thing players together in the game did? They made up a game within a game. Spleef. And they had entire servers full of buildings in classic MC. So much so that finding real estate in the older map gen was almost impossible once everyone built their builds. Enjoy the ride.

I personally prefer the Alpha, to an extent. I think that the inability to sleep, the inability to run, and the lack of godly enchantments, makes the night very scary, and encourages the player to either mine or build up their base during night. I spend most nights in Alpha just building my base up, but in later versions, I just find a village, sleep there, and never really feel motivated to build a base until I get too much loot to hold without a chest. Alpha still sucks tho in some ways, like when I got to the nether and realized I've basically beaten the game already and there was nothing left to do

Interesting idea for a datapack with the new data driven enchantments in 1.21; could override mending with a custom enchantment that lowers the anvil cost of the affected item over time/with xp/some other input/etc., instead of what mending normally does. That way, mending is still a valuable must have enchantment, but the anvil system is still relevant. Unfortunately, it's hard to justify forcing the player to expend diamonds or netherite ingots to repair their tools everytime tho, given how expensive those resources are. Maybe some kind of cheaper resource that can repair items needs to be thought up for that.

I think survival should be harder because I don't find building in that mode very fun, since it takes so long to gather resources.
@MinecraftIdeasAcademy4 күн бұрын
Shouldn't gathering resources be quicker then?
@sonwig51864 күн бұрын
@@MinecraftIdeasAcademy I make it quicker with x-ray but I still don't enjoy it. I used to like survival when it was difficult and scary (because I was a child), and I still like survival in other games where it is difficult and scary. Mods help, for example I liked the Betweenlands mod a lot. But in vanilla Minecraft I might as well just make something cool in creative or play on a server where I can be bothered to grind, rather than playing normal survival or even hardcore mode.

the idea are cool but the problem is a lot of the ideas want the player to do X thing in a certain problem and while i do see the logic behind that but it might lead to having do to lots of tedious travel every time you want to use a different one of those items and since it is terrain you have already explored it removes most of the enjoyable parts of travel leaving only the tedious hold W until you are were you want to be

I have a very different opinion about mending and enchanting. Durability is useless in Minecraft. It harms the intrinsic and extrinsic players both by requiring them to do something they've already done over and over again. It just doesn't make sense. They should be required to make tools once, so that all the tool materials become decorative or functional blocks after the first use. Armor is a different deal, and it could be changed so that all enchanted armor has the mending effect by default, and unbreaking is an armor only enchantment. (this is due to the thorns enchantment relying on durability for balancing, and armor durability being used as a hard time limit in PVP fights.) Alternatively, they could apply mending's effect to all enchanted tools and armor to make the player use different enchantments while grinding for the perfect ones. (maybe without voiding exp to mending though, and instead using exp to mend and storing it at the same time, also maybe get rid of exp's exponential nature.)

what is "useful" some of those listed mobs have uses lol edit: I think more than use, game feels a bit weird when these mobs do nothing but idle around. I wish they had their own goals and needs that they had to work around instead of just being idle. Wish cows dropped more meat and leather, same as feathers, muttons and porkchops from their respective sources. Looting allows you to get more but is steve really that bad at killing an animal and skinning them? Why not add bone drops to these animals (along with chicken) That way we would have less of a need to breed them to near entity cramming limits just to get few stacks I wish Peaceful mode accomodated for the loss of content from other difficulties better.

I noticed the achievement for getting a blaze rod says "relieve a blaze of its rod" and we theorized the blaze are people and the nether acts as a kind of hell, the rods are their sins weighing them down, but it could also be possible they are a golem, but the phrase "relieve" would not make sense and pumpkins are not native to the nether so there'd have to be some alternative, potentially wither skulls as they're used to create the wither which is clearly a construct of some kind

they need to integrate building into the core of the survival mode having a bed out in the open is just as good as having a mansion, they need to make it so that buildings actually improve the players in game quality of life instead of buildings being there almost to exclusively look pretty, i should have a reason to build a defendable castle or make a piston door other than "it looks cool"

I totally hear you, but isn't it objectively better to add mobs with multiple values? This means multiple kinds of people can agree on the mob having value, right?

Depends on whether one kind of value detracts from the other. If you're encouraged to kill ambient mobs, they won't have much chance to provide ambience
