Havoc is a genius. Very underrated, if rated at all. He produced all of his own songs, all of mobb deep songs, the majority of prodigies songs. He never skipped a beat! You just can't find any unpleasant beats that he's created. To top it off, he's underrated as an M.C. in my opinion as well.

Shook Ones Pt I sounds like the impending apocalypse, where the demons descend from above and the sky starts turning red. Shook Ones Pt II feels like the world post apocalypse where most of humanity has been eradicated. Both equalling haunting and visceral. Havoc was undeniable in terms of creating the darkest atmosphere in his production

This beat is the essence of boom bap in my opinion. Minimalistic, subterranean atmosphere, filtered samples, basslines that sound like they're coming from an abyss, hard-hitting snares. I don't think anyone's made snares hit harder in their productions than Havoc. His technique is amazing. Absolutely the best music to listen to on a snowy night in the city at 3am.
