John Gotti made one mistake and that was getting close to Sammy the bull I understand the fact that he had a of trust in Frankie DeCicco Frankie spoke up for Sammy so John goes against his better judgment the sad point is everything that I've read everything that I've watched every documentary every mob channel everybody that speaks about this the one thing it leads to is John always questions himself about Sammy he should have known then but sometimes we get blinded by money sometimes we get blinded by what we see. And Americans have always liked bad guys from Billy the kid the Bonnie and Clyde and just for shits and giggles like the joker and Darth Vader but back to the seriousness John wasn't ashamed of who he was John knew exactly what he was he was a gangster he wasn't going to hide he wasn't going to sit back in the dark neither and anybody in their right mind knows that if they're a part of that life they're being watched all the time so he basically hit it on the number whenever he says anybody that's in that life that's saving money what do they got planned because at the end of the day they're dying in jail or they're dying from gun wounds yes his mistake was talking on those tapes I can admit that but he wasn't talking shit he was actually second-guessing everything that he had done for a man that he loved starting to question the loyalty of that man really was it for him or was it for himself none of us were there so we'll really never know but at the end of the day they know the rules he knew the rules someone falls on the sword for their boss is at the end of the day in my eyes it's just like how the movie says he has to wake up everyday and look at himself in the mirror and know that he's a rat because not only did he ride on Gotti he ride it on the chin he ratted on a lot of made guys that didn't say shit about him so fuck him he's a rat point blank back in November when Gotti was planning to whack him he should have

Sammy is full of shit with the excuses he uses these days. He says John, while in prison, approached him and told him that he had to take the fall, and that is why he flipped. Meanwhile, in his book that came out in 1997......he says John NEVER approached him with any of that, but he had "figured out" that John would put it all on him. Also.....in Sammy's book, he wrote that when he first entered into the mafia life, he excepted the fact that by the age of around 40, he would either be dead, or in prison, and because he had accepted that, he lived without much fear. Well....in his 40's his prediction came true and he faced life in prison........but took the opportunity to bail himself out. If you are true cosa nostra you go down with the ship, no matter why it is sinking.

@@MOBFAX Yes, the Feds would convict without Gravano. The Feds had Phil Leonetti waiting in the hallway, ready to testify. Long before Gotti was arrested, Leonetti was in front of a NY grand jury testifying to all the Philly mob and the Gambinos had done together, including Gottis detailed explanation of the Castellano hit. 4 people in the room discussing the month after the hit: Nicky Scarfo, Phil Leonetti, Gotti, and Gravano. “Because dummy he was” pot meet kettle. Actually the media creates the characters, the quips, the stigma and headlines.
