this is junk, I can't even get it set, the instructions are not clear

Not sure ours works. We are always getting a reading of 97.something degrees F. Have used it for 3 adults for over a month. Tried re calibration per your instructions for another user, and still get 97 degrees. Is this working? We bought it last month.

I just bought this thermometer and it keeps reading different temperatures, I try to measure my temperature on my forehead 3 times and it gave me three different numbers then my ear and it did the same. Then I measured my sons temperature twice on forehead and twice on ear and it gave me 4 different readings

It sounds like your thermometer may need re calibration! Remove the batteries from your thermometer and store the thermometer at room temperature (Avoiding placing thermometer in direct sunlight or in front of an AC vents) for at least 1 hour .Re-insert batteries and power thermometer on - your thermometer should briefly display the room temperature and be ready for intended use. To change the language on your Ultra Pulse thermometer, press and hold the "TALK" button. Press and hold "TALK" again to toggle between language options. "EN" is English mode, "FA" is French mode, "SP" is Spanish mode, and "- -" is Silent mode.

It sounds like your thermometer might have been exposed to an extreme spike in temperature and the unit itself is “hot”. Remove the batteries from your thermometer and place your thermometer in a colder dimly lit area - to cool the unit down for 30 minutes to 1 hour. This should reset the thermometer. Hello, To change the UltraPulse setting from Fahrenheit to Celsius, when viewing a temperature, you press the SCAN and TALK button together. Each time you press these two buttons together, the unit will cycle between Fahrenheit and Celsius modes.

Our Customer Service team replied to your ticket #4694 with instructions regarding this concern. The "SLP" option in your thermometer's settings means "Sleep". I recommend to select "On" for this option. Leaving sleep mode on is the only way to power off your thermometer. When sleep mode is set to "On", this will allow the thermometer to power off after 1 to 3 minutes of inactivity. Press and hold the "SET" button and continue pressing "TALK" until you see "SLP Off" appear on the screen. Press the "SET" button to switch sleep mode to "On" and press "TALK" to save this setting.
