Good movie, but the film is a fictionalized history based on a similar battle in which 18 German tanks were knocked out of action during. The Stalin regime decided to build up the battle into something far more heroic for propaganda value during the war to inspire the people. Postwar Soviet Investigation 1948 revealed the truth, but decided to keep the story alive, including the monument seen at the end of this movie. Still, all-in-all, the film does a good job of capturing the desperate battle to save Moscow from the Nazis and portrays the heroic actions and sacrifices of the common Soviet soldier.
