Back in GF3 days, synthetic oils got seal conditioners because synthetic oils don't swell the rubber seals like conventional oils do. Now even non-synthetic oils have to have seal conditioners. GF3 did not require seal conditioners. These days, a high mileage oil is not required in order to get seal conditioner in motor oil, but they are usually slightly thicker or higher in viscosity in their weight ranges.

While these videos are informative they really aren’t fair for AMSOIL. Most oils are really good when they still not used, but AMSOIL’s advantage is that it keeps its properties well through its lifetime even with severe service. Whereas other oil degrade really fast. Oh yeah you'll definitely see a huge difference on the cold start after doing the engine flush and the upper cylinder lubricant the pi cleaner I would also try the power foam you'll see a big difference with that as well and the Signature Series oil. I use to use extended mobile 1, I would go about 8k on average however with signature series I know I have way more protection all around way less burn off, less friction lots of stop and go driving will take a toll on the oil and amsoil is definitely the way to go! Great video eben

I also like to put a little Marvel Mystery Oil in there to help things from sticking and for cold weather oil flow. It's good in your oil and gas - the Marvel that is. I've been using that for more than 40 years. I also use Amsoil filters.

I was the same way myself years ago before I tried it on my Corvette and did the oil analysis at 10,000 miles I was surprised and found out that the biggest bottleneck is the filter very important to change the oil filter👍 we got some great oil analysis on the channel on the playlist section you'll see those tests showing the wear metals and all the different additives in the oil

It depends on what type of driving you're doing if you're going to be doing very few miles per year I highly recommend an engine flush in the high mileage oil if you drive over 10,000 miles a year I would personally use the signature series also if you do any extreme driving and super high heat or cold the signature series will always be the best oil. You never have to use an engine flush it's just an added bonus to get more of the carbon deposits around the Rings out oil cooler ports if you don't flush it if you have a car that has quite a bit of buildup it's going to end up in the new oil filter and the engine won't run as well and we'll leach into the other fresh oil personally I always recommend the engine flush on the first oil change and on any diesel vehicles or Turbo great idea to get as much of the buildup out as possible on the turbos other than that I only use the flush every first time you can order everything right here off my website and definitely you will see a huge improvement with the pi performance improver and the signature series motor oil you will be amazed💯🇺🇸💪 I give a man a fishing pole & show him how to fish. I just got a 2023 Ram Rebel 5.7 Hemi needs 0W-20 and I was looking at AMSOIL for it but this whole 15k mile 25k miles thing has me confused. Maybe it’s just cause I’ve been out of the loop for so long. Is this truly a thing. I mean seems like that’s more a sales thing…just asking. Not insinuating anything. When the whole 6k mile oil came out it had me thrown too so, then you got used to it. But now this 15k 25k seems like a long long time to wait for an oil change. So my question is, should I wait that long or to put my mind more at ease just do it every 6k?

Yes it’s good practice is to stick to your 6k oil changes, it’s piece of mind and oil is relatively cheap compared to engine problems!

Hi Eben, thank you for posting these amazing videos. Please keep them coming! I just wanted to mention that when both oils are still flowing at a similar rate, the temp needs to go lower until one of the oils has reached its limit. Then the other obviously comes out on top. Otherwise there would be no difference testing it at -40, 0 or +40. They will flow the same everytime because the limits were not reached on either oil. I am a massive fan of your channel btw and Amsoil is the only oil i use!☺

I think it would be convenient to see hths on each oil brand. I saw some videos where you used a torch and a pan to show us the level of evaporation Sir but I think many of us are interested in how a 0w30, or 5w30 can withstand heat! In repetitive test, I am not a savant in this topic but I think that you can manage something to show us sir, you are a very educated young man in this subject. Mobile 1 oil suck. They loose their lubricity and just becomes a watery fluid. My engine gets really hot and those oil just basically gets cooked. After many observation how bad the mobile 1 oil look like when i change them. I finally made the switch to amsoil and the difference is quite significantly much better. No more cold start valve rattling and cooked oil. Cook oil in a hot engine is never a good sign for long term reliability.
