been there recently, ppl should think twice moving there early unless they had a car. For the elderly moving there, getting food might require taking a feeder bus. The environment is very dusty, noisy due to construction of MRT, Housing, and renovations works. definitely not ideal and hardly close to move in environment.

Yes. Someone i know just had their keys. Spent so much money on taxi fares!

Hdb knows people are desperate fr homes. I had my keys at a different estate earlier in the yr. Good location and i was satisfied. But a lot of defects. Just one mth after HDB began construction on 5 blocks nearby. Most of the time i have to close my windows due to the noise, dust and insects. Esp after the rain! Theres no consideration fr people at all! Others the govt sue whereas theyre allowed all this!

As if HDBB couldnt forsee the peoples plight. As the article says due to feedback frm residents. Unbelievable! Poor residents. I have been there. A jungle of blocks snd no ammenities!

Shops, food court and clinics will only be ready in the beginning of next year.

@@Zayn-jc4zt terrible fr hdb to treat residents paying hundreds of thousands if dollars like this. ! Criminal in fact! I just had my flat this yr. The amount of cracks, shoddy workmanship was unbelievable. If i had the money i would sue hdb. Residents should gather enmasse and demand some form of restitution! Really sickening.

@@leexianlong6855 when someone i knew got her keys even a taxi driver was reluctant to go into the estate. Later going home a contractor gave them a lift out in his vehicle. This contactor has more kindness than hdb! Really makes one angry.

You wanna know why 6 months ? Month 1 & 2 = Defects because hdb , CCS leaks because SP. Month 3 & 4 = Reno Month 5 & 6 = guess what the centralised aircon is still leaking

Mobile grocery trucks and vending machines are stop gap measures at best. Residents are having fewer options to choose and facing higher prices. A win for HDB, a win for businesses, but a lose for Tengah residents. Tengah residents should come together and sue HDB for misrepresentation and claim damages. Many HDB owners at Tengah were sold on the idea of good amenities and connectivity. HDB is partially responsible and should compensate these tricked homeowners some damages.

So true!! To hdb the govt and such we are the peasants not worth the trouble. The rich money loaded foreigners buying landed property and condos are the ones worth their time not us.

There will be a gathering on the 6th Jan from 9am at block 111A for Tengah residents to discuss legal strategies on how we can mount a "class action" civil suit against HDB for damages. Residents, lawyers, opposition parties, opposition party MPs, are all welcomed. Remember to keep all your HDB marketing materials, contracts, overly priced grocery receipts. Tengah residents are tricked and we're seeking damages from HDB.

Thats the thing! Hdb , govt knows people are so desperate fr homes. So fast fast do, any old how ! This Tengah estate didnt even have a bus service.

Usually shops will open later until quite a number of residents moved in. Then the town will gradually have many amenities once there are many residents.
