Paul and I have been working together for 30 years off and on. I started working for his uncle when I was 25 doing roofing. That’s how I met Paul and then I started my own roofing company and Paul came to work for me. I got divorced remarried my wife hated me working for myself I didn’t find out why until later. She was a cheater. She didn’t want me coming home just at any time I felt like it. LOL she was not a good woman. Anyways I divorced her and a married my present wife. Who is amazing. And he went back to work for me. He’s been working with me often on I guess again for the last 10 years. He’s a handyman to have around. Hard worker. And he follows direction well. He does it the way I want it. Underbelly can be a real pain in the butt. This particular mobile home has a frame that you can put the under belly in most places don’t and the underbelly just hangs under the house. So not all underbellies are the same good luck with yours and thank you for the kind words I appreciate you watching Shawn. If it’s not straight it’s not right if you don’t screw it down it will squeak. And yes the insulation trick makes cutting thick insulation especially easy

Your help Paul is a good one , hard worker no whining hard to find . Putting the underliner in is tough. We built trailers from scratch box joice underliner then we flipped the whole unit , with the crane insulation and sheeting next and so on

Fortunately I have Paul. He is an amazing. He never whines as a matter fact sometimes I’m surprised at the things that he will do with no hesitation. He is definitely the best guy to have around. I’ve known Paul for 30 years plus. I worked with his uncle for his uncle quit his uncle Paul came to work for me and we never looked back. Go back to my videos about 10 years ago you’ll see Paul he will still be there

Yes not all trailers made the same somehow the black underbelly some do not this particular one did not have an underbelly so We only had to put the silverback insulation in and then set the insulation on top of it

Question when putting in new underbelly, does it cover all the pipes also. And if so, how do you get to the water pipes to put on new heating tape?

Yes cover them inside the floor and the underbelly. How many times do you have to tape them.

I never heard of that. But I’m not in a cold climate. Maybe you should think about wrapping them or something else.

What if to use drywall or OSB, or plywood like underbelly? Will it cause any issues except being more expensive?

No I think it would work but I like some type of Styrofoam board. You can buy it at Lowes or Home Depot.

I worked at a big box store at the time and chose the bypass double pane new construction windows. But I'm a girl so I don't know wat I'm talking about. This spring is rip out windows and replace, repair drywall that was only a year old, rip out the old quest line and replace, replace floors, redo floor that I layer before windows & fit in a full kitchen gut. I love plumbing (honestly I do) Bathroom is the only room he didn't do window. Thank the gods cause that is complete

I love new construction windows I do not like replacement windows they do not work in a mobile home at all. If you don’t use new construction windows you won’t have the nail flange that you need on the outside of your mobile home. Definitely disappointing to hear that somebody put replacement windows instead of new construction windows in your home. You’ll never be able to seal the outside of

I got to say it might be different where you are, but Tyveks Suits are amazing to wear when under a mobile home especially if it's damp or muddy. Feels great to take that off and realize you're spotless clean lol. However looking good. I may use that stuff for the bottom of my place actually now. Never thought of using that Foam Board. Also have you thought about hiring a guy who would wanna be your Cameraman? I'm sure someone would be interested in that for a Min Wage position.

No. Never. If I used nails I would. Use 2 inch screws no glue

Screws everywhere outside edges in the Meadows I don’t use nails for anything just screws into the floor joist
