Just seen this as older Mobile Homes fascinate me. all the old built ins are just amazing so much storage. the comments however made me chuckle. At the time this was put up for sale, I would hardly call it a dump. Mobile homes even as old as this one can be remodeled, but the right person has to come along and know what they're doing. We've remodeled many with drywall, tile etc because layout was wonderful.

@@carollynt hence why I had said the right person has to come along with the knowledge and money. All our homes were upgraded. My husband is a licensed electrician. As well, we upgraded windows. Most were crank out and definitely a fire hazard. With that said, the homes here in our state were easily picked up for $500 to $1,000 so we had plenty of wiggle room to up grade and still make money on our investments.

*Buyers Be Aware:* The home can not be moved due to transportation laws on older mobile homes being on the roadways. The buyer will be stuck with a 'house trailer for scrap" when the event comes the land gets sold from under them. Wow, I astonished at all the comments making this sound like it’s on another planet. I’m from coastal N,C and mobile home parks that look just like this dot the landscape. Everywhere.Ive seen a lot worse, In fact, I lived in a trailer that was literally falling apart. When my dad left my mom, she had no employable skills except sewing. And that’s what she did for a snooty decor place and made rich people gorgeous ruffled drapes, holiday themed decor etc and made 4.75 an hour (in 1980) when I believe minimum wage was around 3.50. We were able to live in a pretty nice house than a large townhouse apt for a few years because my mom took care of both her sick and elderly parents. When they died, it was catastrophic for us financially. Her snob of a brother who had a degree and a well paying job, generously helped her buy a used mobile home. She it was taken to a quiet well kept MHP where she paid a monthly rent for the lot. Here’s the thing about MH’s- they are ironically not made to be mobile and even high end ones, and they do exist - are flimsy and you have to stay on top of repairs. But my mom could barely provide the bare necessities for me & my sis, much less repair a heating duct, than the heat/air unit it’s self died. So I remember many times FA-REEZING my ass off. She managed to get an oil heater -which is extremely not recommended for a trailer but that’s all we could do. Than the foundation started degrading. I walked in my bedroom one night and one leg went through the floor, my foot was on the ground- it’s a wonder I didn’t break my damn leg. But you just have to manage best you can. Few Years later my Mom had started a very successful housecleaning business. Customers loved her! And the old trailer was put down. I was so happy to see her brand new single wide replace the old one. She lived in that park 34 yrs, the park owner had finally decided to sell it and she was ( and still is) sad she had to leave. She kept her trailer in near pristine condition, it was over 20 yrs old. And throughout she had made custom drapes, seat cushions, valances- when the lady that bought it cake to look, she nearly begged for my mom to let her keep all that stuff and paid extra for it. She lives in a very nice apt in a wooded area and has a screened porch. It took some getting used to, but I told her it really was a good thing. She’s almost 80, is a full time caregiver (again) to her severely disabled husband. She doesn’t need to mow the grass, if something breaks she calls the manager. It’s fine. Sorry this is a longer comment- but the disparaging remarks struck a nerve. *oh, and I just have to mention- people making big fucking deals about “tiny houses”. Tiny houses that people stupidly spend 80,000 on. So stupid. Peace y’all 🦋🇺🇸

Ahhh, please don't tell me your mom worked for Dorothy Ruffled Originals! I have beautiful curtains made by them. Would break my heart that they paid their employees such a little amount, even for back then. I DIDN'T purchase them. I'm not one of those snooty buyers! They were purchase buy my mother-on-law when me and my husband purchased our first home. I'm sure it nearly broke her when she did it! But was something she insisted on doing. Sounds like everything worked out for you and your mom. She must be a really special lady. God bless.

Yeah, that things worth 2000 at most, my dad bought one 1973 for 3 k and had to rebuild the bathroom, but it had newer windows and siding, he put about 14 k into it, and we lived in it for 2 years, and sold it for 6 k, and it was mostly remodeled, this house from what I see most likely needs all new windows, all new doors, and there’s a wavey wall, everything looks dirty, it would be good to like clean the thing before trying to sell it, and everything inside is dated, especially speaking that it’s most likely drafty, and not well insulated since it probably has 2x3 or 2x4 walls. The things probably been there so long the wheels are in the ground, and the frames all rusted.

That's a very real & logical fear one should address when entering into this type of contract. This can be addressed right up front, in your offer, by simply asking for a long or extended lease of no less than x yrs. I do caution you, if you don't have an agent who's spoken to the land owners, I urge you to meet with them on your own before closing the deal. That goes for any sale like this.

Others wouldn't allow my 14 yr old, lab who was so old n quite, he just pretty much slept all day. I wasted so much money staying in a hotel for over a month, looking. Plus all the money for the moving truck, storage... then when I finally found one, at the last minute, the guy DIDN'T ever get the title from who he bought it from years eariler. ugh. it's been a year now.
