I know you have said that Ken is anxious to light the woodstove. That would actually be a good idea. You will need to open all of your windows for that first light because it has to burn off the smell of the stove paint. I was so glad we ran our woodstove early that first time because the smell was pretty strong, even with the windows open. We just sat outside for a couple of hours.

We took the time to sort our deep freezer last Saturday. We separated things into containers we purchased from Costco. I labeled all of the containers plus drew pictures showing what is stored on each level. It sure makes it so much easier to find what I am looking for now. I take our two weeks' worth of food at a time and place it into the refrigerator freezer. The deep freezer is packed full and we have been eating some of the items that needed to be used up.

@@tinacollinsworth9507 I don’t but our oven in this home is odd. It was built in and only 2 companies make the size we would need. They’re over $1,000 and extremely small. We found out it wasn’t even vented to the outside. When my boys removed the built in oven we found scorch marks all over it. It is a miracle the house didn’t burn down. We are praying to get back to a place where we can afford to have the kitchen modified so that I can have a plain old stove. I love to bake so I have missed my oven but you know it’s not the worst thing that’s ever happened to me. We’re doing fine ❤️ The cooktop is separate and still works but is also old. I’m grateful for what we do have

I had to laugh at the lone can of Chef Boyardee!! We home can and preserve, but I love Chef Boyardee Chili Mac, so there are always a half dozen of those on my pantry shelf as well!!!

Do you worry about the fridge causing too much heat in your storage room ?

I didn't know that refrigerators give off heat. and the room where I store food gets up to 80 degrees, but I've never had a problem with the heat from the refrigerator. Please excuse my ignorance, but I just didn't know that refrigerators give off heat.

@@HomesteadTessie yes as a matter of fact they say not to store bread or cereal on top of fridge for that very reason.. Growing up we always had to put our canned stuff in under the steps in a cool dark place. I LOVE YOUR CHANNEL!!!!
