I have a ‘Suncast’ mobile hose reel cart that has cheap metal hose connector which has quite broken-off inside the surrounding plastic of [plastic] 'in-tube' [located on the outside of the unit] Apparently, the coupling has just been painted to look like brass. The (Chinese?) manufacturer of these parts uses a substandard metal that has just sheared/broken off [out of the warranty period, of course]. I’ve read that other connecting parts tend to rust, [unlike the actual brass fittings they try to imitate]. The break, [as can be found with the use of cheap screws and metal parts which are manufactured without any quality control], makes it impossible to properly connect another hose connector, rendering the part is impossible to repair, so, this [otherwise good product] is now completely useless. I’m trying to find a way to remove the old bit of remaining ‘brass-like’ coupling from the 'in-tube', without damaging the surrounding [plastic] connection… ANY SUGGESTIONS???
