While on a Dino, raft, or motorboat, hold left alt. Then scroll your mouse wheel. This alters the default camera view for that Dino. Hold left alt again to remove the view selection interface. C key to reset to default. Happy rafting!

I knew hitting “k” would allow you to change your camera but I didn’t know this. I’ll have to try it out when I get home.

What about mobile? I found the ‘camera zoom’ in the settings, hot button bound to left or right side two-finger-click, and then just re bind to what you want when u got it set.. is that the same thing?

I always close in the cockpit because that’s where you get shot while driving lol. Being able to just boogie out of dodge

Hold Q while placing the stone gateway and it will snap right in place.

Thanks for this! I play official will the structure count be the same? I learned the hard way and ran out of spots and half my raft was just exposed and trash :( also on official you only have a few seconds to pickup a structure once you lay it down.

Yeah it should work for official. I tried to make it with that in mind. I stopped playing on official a couple days after launch so they must’ve changed it back.

The raft I have on the Ark Trade Federation Patreon server has far more stuff on it because of raft structure limit doubled. 😂🤣

I can't snap my first foundation to the right spot im on ps5 any help ?

So i have been trying for the past hour, and have not had any luck. I followed everything you have said, even moved the raft out further in the ocean to make sure nothing underneath was messing with the snap point but i still have been able to snap it under the pillar. Do i just need to keep messing with it inch by inch or has something changed in the month since this video was posted?

I was not able to place the walls on the very back of the raft. It said I was too far away from the platform structure. You can place and sink the foundations without needing a pillar or a fence rail.

Yeah I’m aware you can place them with a pillar. Tho the pillar helps center it

It should be but you might have to pick up a couple structures. Make sure you place both crop plots before planting the plant x. Plant x counts as a structure.

A hatchframe will do for the middle

Yep I think I said something about that but if you put a trap door on the hatch frame it will count it an extra structure to add to the count.

@@ArkTradeFederation don't put a door on it. Leave it open. That way you can immediately ride your boat.

Does this work on Xbox Survival Evolved? I cannot get the the 5x3 ceiling floors. Says "needs nearby foundation support.". Any help would be great.

Yes it looks like that is the current limit with changing it in server settings.

This was changed for ark evolved and will probably be changed for ark ascended soon. Sadly if you’re playing ark evolved you can’t place gates on a raft.

@@DigDoug05I got the Dino gates on my raft, but the problem is the platform behind the driver seat is only 2 wide not 3 wide, like this video, AND, you can’t place the Dino gate back that far. One square is next to the driver seat and one square behind, basically making the second row behind driver out door deck cause it won’t support walls that far out 🤔
