I’ve been a GG fan since ‘75, saw them in ‘76 and ‘78, and love everything they produced. The one song I was never crazy about was The Power and The Glory and could see why it didn’t make the album. But your band’s take really changed that. I loved the three part harmonies and having female vocals. Great job! New subscriber!!

Covers like this makes Gentle Giant immortal. Gentle Giant are mature enough to realize this unlike other bands/musicians who drive their compositions into obscurity trying to squeeze every penny from it. Music is useless if you dont allow other musicians to cover it relatively freely. As an example, eagles are becoming non-existent due to too much control over material. I never hear them anymore, in fact none at all anymore, but here I listen to much less popular GG (but way-way better musically) and love it, making me go buy more Gentle Giant where normally I would not have.

I agree with your observation of the Eagles. I do some amateur video work. I posted a video of a band covering an Eagles tune, it was removed per Eagles management, and I was slapped with an infringement warning.

@@dreamcruise2009 "The eagles will end up in the dustbin of history by their own design. If I was famous I would absolutely be involved in other people using my work. I would allow profit sharing, if they do a lot of good, like Egentligen Giant so masterfully do with their Gentle giant covers. I am pretty sure their videos is one of the reasons my daughter now listens to Gentle Giant. That is just phenominal.

Excellent musicianship -- of course, but the singer is simply fantastic.... I can't think of any better singer for a GG tribute band than Signe. And she has a slight accent and it all comes out so charming. Tell her she has got a new fan 🙂
