I started the video thinking "I know how to make a half-lap joint; I don't need this." I just left it on why I was multi-tasking on something else. I do know how to make a half-lap joint, but I still learned a lot from this video. Little tips on how to improve that show edge, efficiently chisel out the joint, etc. Thank you for this!

I've been using retractable casters, solid 4x4 leg on ground when using, step on handles and caster lift table as they move down. Seems like best of both worlds to me.

Thanks for lighting the wood working bug in me. I am drawing plans and will to move my work area from our garage to dedicated backyard shop. I notice too much energy is spent in moving everything around to do a job. Your Videos are informative and helpful. Wishing you loads of success.

I kinda feel like you were poking fun at a couple of my pocket hole stands in my shop over the last year or so. I need to do a few more stands and I agree they should be done with a technique I can use regularly rather than something that I prefer stays hidden in the corners. Great timing and many thanks.

Looks so much better than all the metal Harbor Freight specials I have. I think I need to give one of these a shot. One thing I will likely add are 4 screw downs to basically lift the feet off the floor. My basement floor is unlevel so my lathe, which also has 4 lockable wheels, has issues with all four wheels hitting at one time. So even with locked wheels it rocks back and forth. So if you want your table to be perfectly flat then having the ability to screw adjust the feet off the floor would be handy. Or if you have some other ideas feel free to add them in.

Just repurposed an old printer stand. This would have been a much nicer stand, so now I’m going to have to get out my tools and make several, because if I make just the one it’ll make the other repurposed stands I have look that much shabbier. Nice process video. Thanks ( I think) 😀 Cheers, Tom

When it comes to mobile bases I am quite partial to designs where the wheels can be raised off the ground when whatever is on the base is to be stationary.

well done! I was thinking what joinery method to use for my mobile under desk pedestal cabinet's frame. and there you go: half lap joint, simple and easy. I'm wondering if it's all right to cut a mortise through the half lap joint, to connect the frame pillars to the horizontal top frame ?

I enjoy your videos, ideas, and the way you present them! Is there a way you could improve the audio quality ?? it's tinny/harsh and every time I queue up one of your video I need to turn it way down or I get told to. great stuff though other than audio quality. Maybe a better mic? I'm sure it would be appreciated across the board. Keep em' coming though !

I'm sure if I had it I could throw money at the problem but at my income level a shotgun mic on top of camera is what you get. Also this isn't a sound studio type workshop. Just 100 ft from a major highway. It's an non-HVAC steel warehouse so in Texas you have to keep the doors open. It is what it is.

@@wortheffort Gotcha.. steel warehouse says it all. Your content is pretty worth watching I was just making a suggestion. It's your hard ceiling/surfaces in the warehouse evidently causing it. Keep rockin' man... and stay safe.
