Fantastic work Ian. I really like the "no holes drilled" approach. I know the thought process and planning that goes into such a mobile install.

Lovely job Ian. I have a T2000X I bought second hand and also the RC2000 included with it, although I’ve never taken the RC2000 out of its box. The RC2000 kit seems quite rare. Good to see one used for its intended purpose. They are a “bit dear” though as my dad used to say.
@ianxfsАй бұрын
Yes, I’ve got a bag of bits with it too, but no need for them on this setup I think. Fingers crossed it all works ok when put through its paces 👍🏻

That's some sweet antenna mount my master. Fantastic setup up. You could always spray paint the antenna with plasticoat paint. Must of been terrible installing it into such a bad car 😉 hope to be sat in it having a coffee with you one day 🤞🏽 Yes it was me you spoke to a couple of weeks ago. For some reason you was just having problems hearing me. May need to change my antenna. 73

Nice neat setup, definitely looks good. Have not seen that radio before but it seems quite attractive really.

Very nice job, well done.✅ I’ve just put a mag mount on my car… first time out and drove onto a carpark with a 6ft 6in bar across the entrance, it didn’t half make a racket.😩 No damage found just put it back on and used the hinged base to lay it flat.😊😣 Bet you a diamond you’ll do it and yours is very solid, so bent Ariel City 😵💫 Mind how you go ! .73. 💙 G0 UvL

Nice Installation, Where did you get the 3M Mobile Antenna Cable and Fixing from... Many Thanks
@ianxfsАй бұрын
Hi, the 3M reference was for the black tape only. Sorry about that. The coax with fitted plugs was from EBay (3 or 5m length.

Comet HFB 20 mobile whip is less than 1m long and they do a HFB 40 , 40m one which is about 1.5m long. Might be options for you.

@@ianxfs Ampro mobile whip then, they do a whole range of HF monoband whips, each about 2.5m long. About £25 each. They are 3/8 fitting though I think. Maybe one for 10, 20 and 40 ?
