@@edenlee7752 Here, he seems to be playing a lot more stronger and aggressive smashes. Nowadays he seems to concentrate more on a tactical net play, fast drops, front half safe gameplay by doing longer rallies to tire out his opponents. I don't see his smashes being this aggressive nowadays. In some of his games last year, he rarely crosses his smashes (but I think it depends on who he is playing against), it's like he opts more for half smash/full smash straight because it's usually the safest option and to make the rally last longer.

It didnt at all , his defence just got impenetrable. That’s pretty much all the changed
@YouKnowYongHwa3 жыл бұрын
@@vireshpratapsingh4551 His shots are a lot more directed towards the front of the court nowadays. He lifts and clears less too (tournaments before covid). While his defense, tactics, mental strength and concentration got better, I feel that his smashes didn't improve much.

Well Kento is a really good player, but there's no way to match with Lin Dan and Chong Wei's peak performance. Both of them are the GOATs of badminton men single!

This is the mind of guy that cant accept that athletes get better over time. Apart from LD 2008 olympics, nobody from the previous era is dog walking the current era. MAYBE LCW from 2011 all england too, just maybe.

sho sasaki is no slouch either. on a moment to moment basis he has the stronger attack but momota plays the long game, setting up attacking shots that are pretty much impossible to return.
