This phone is great still using it today after the marshmallow update it got even better . Tip for night time pictures of the sky ISO:1600 , shutter speed: 4 seconds , White balance: 2300 Focus: landscape 🌄 Might want to use a tripod for this unless u have super steady hands. Great for capturing the stars in the night sky . 😎

@@KaneNova honestly no The phone was great However, HTC messed things up with updates (the 3D photo stuff for example) dropping support for the remote control and starting to spam yelp ads I've used Huawei for a number of years now and they are brilliant phones

I'm still using it. Its kinda scratched in the back but front glass is still flawless. Battery is a big problem. Mine started closing at 40% in the last few months. And it shows 0% if I try charging it again. Other than that yeah camera is a meh and it got slow but fine after 5Years of usage. I'm thinking of switching to a Mi9T or a OnePlus 7 soon tho

I put my daughter's htc m8 in to a shop as it wasnt holding a charge, after paying £25 to get back, I asked what the problem was he told me the screen! There was absolutely nothing wrong with the screen but nowi know u have to go threw the screen to get to the battery I think they've broke my screen & the phone is still the same? So ill find out how to do it myself on here & give it a go.

htc one m8 sucks! the battery can only be replaced by sending it to them and paying $100+ shipping, and you cant connect it to the computer without the htc sync app that doesnt work well with all computers especially mac, the camera has some cool features but the pic quality is low and it takes the pics about 2-3 secs after clicking the shutter, etc.

Even though this is an old thread, I'm still gonna comment... My M8 could probably last 3-4 days with decent usage and with wifi on. I get great battery length and it's 2 years old. I connected it to the computer and it just worked pretty much straight away, with zero need for the Sync program. The camera takes very good pictures, IMO, but there are better out there I admit. As for the shutter speed, I find it takes pictures almost instantaneously. Plus, what Devin Roth said, but I would do that as a result resort as it's very risky.
