You're basically paying for the lokk otherwise there is not much. I mean 4x4, big suv and a good engine, shoukd not cost 54k. If you build a boxy suv from scratch, you can do it for less than 34k

5th gen 4runner still exists people. Get it while you still can !!!! The 4runner is this but more outdated and has the outdated V6. Yes it is a gas hog, but how do you want to spend your money ? On gas bills or on turbo repair bills... I mean who knows, Toyota knows how to build engines, but still.... Turbo 4 is meh ...

The new Land cruiser is not what you expect, cuz it is actually a new gen Land cruiser Prado. It didn't come with the Prado badge in the US. It came with the Prado badge across the world (not in the US).

Hybrids are awesome. All that torque and mpg. Toyota uses cheap batteries if you need to replace in 10 years. With Landcruiser name, I wouldn't be too worried about reliability. What's not to like?

The Land Cruiser 250 is not the replacement for the 200 series, the replacement is the 300, which is not available in USA. The new 250 is the replacement for the 150 series which is known as a Prado through out the rest of the world.

It’s turbo and hybrid. It’s plenty of torque, which is what really matters for this kind of vehicle.

Look at the power and torque. More than the 4 Runner and more than the Lexus GX. Are people not looking at that and just assuming???

@@GokuInstinct1 yea 4 runner only has 260hp and simular torque but slightly smaller for off road but if off road is not a priority more so than horizontal and highway Power, given the ratio for this size body there will be lag or a slight delay for this body…is it reliable yea sure but not like a 6cyl or 8

@@WeBoogie28 oh okay a slight lag makes sense. And yes I guess it wouldn’t be as reliable but this is a nice SUV when comparing to all the ones in this size category. I compared every single one that are around the same length and this one seems to have the best looks and the power to be a good off-road vehicle.

It reminds me of my wife’s 2016 Volvo Xc90 T8. Except hers has 3rd row seats, 400hp, and real leather. The only thing that would matter to me is if you could put 37” tires 🛞 on the new LC without chopping the body all up. 🤫
