Thanks for the honest feedback. Even if negative, it's always appreciated. I like that you tried to give us some props, even if you weren't able to find many. We're a pretty small team of people, but we're always trying to improve the Paperlike. So, we'll definitely take your input to heart as we continue to improve the product. I would state that, for the record, we don't pay for reviews. We do pay for placements in the videos of creators. We always ask for their honest feedback as well. Of course, it stands to reason that they may feel some pressure to make us happy due to the sponsorship. While not our intent, it makes sense. We also love to support great creators because think they deserve it. There are many positive reviews out there which we haven't sponsored. In some cases, KZbinrs are affiliates for Paperlike, but are also affiliates for the other products they're reviewing. That all said, know that we are not deaf to this feedback. This is something we are planning to rework as soon as possible, and we continue to improve the product with each version of Paperlike. Keep the honest feedback coming and we'll keep improving. Thanks again for your work and content. We hope to earn a positive review from you in the near future.

Holy shit, I’m blown away by this video- a tech review channel completely unlike any of the ones I’ve seen on KZbin. You’re not overhyping anything, you’re not being dramatic about the problems with the protector- just a completely honest review based on actual usage of the product. Also, the dedication required to have that stupid line down the center of your iPad between the protectors is insane, along with that being a crazy smart idea and far better than the side by side comparisons most KZbinrs do. Absolutely liking and subscribing- I don’t watch tech videos too often but when I’m looking at products in the future, this is where I’m coming.

I've been using Paperlike for more than 2 years. I bought it for note taking but covid forced me to deliver a bunch of online lessons (10-16 hours per week). For both purposes, I was satisfied with its performance and look. Mine is not scratched yet, even though my 8 years old son also uses it on a daily basis. Having said that, I still have the spare Paperlike (they send 2 for the price). I use my Ipad with a cheap Logitech pencil which also works well, and it's tip is still not worn out yet. Being a Paperlike user for 2 years and using it literally everyday, I disagree with your criticism. Different strokes for different folks I guess. (I have to add that I never tried any other screen protector on my Ipad.)

Thank you for this. I have been using Paperlike on my personal iPad and a different screen protector on my work iPad. I have always thought that the screen on my work iPad was so much brighter than the personal one. Having watched all the Paperlike recommendations from various reviewers, I thought it was just me that found Paperlike making my screen seem dull - that that was how it was supposed to be. It is really good to know that you (after having done extensive tests) have shown that Paperlike is not all that the hype says it is. I feel so much better knowing this. I will be changing the screen protector on my personal iPad now to one that doesn’t make my screen dull. Again, Thank you for this review.

I used paper like and it did look scratched up after a few weeks. After taking it off, the screen looked so awesome! The paper like adds that matted look and fewer fingerprints. I don’t use my Apple Pencil a lot, so I went back to a clear screen protector. I just don’t like always having to clear the fingerprints on my screen. I think I have a fix. Based upon your review of all the iPad cases, I finally got a Magic Keyboard. The trackpad feature will decrease my finger swipes thus less fingerprints. LOL. Thanks for all your unbiased reviews. It gives great tactile feedback with the Apple Pencil and I have absolutely no negative impact to viewing my iPad Pro screen. I am notoriously rough on my devices and do not have a single scratch on the paperlike yet. I’m also very much screen protector installation challenged and managed to get the same paperlike protector on and off my iPad twice without a single bubble. The only issue I had was when I got my UAG case and putting the case on caused the paperlike to peel up because it comes so close to the edge of the bezel. I removed the protector a third time, trimmed it and reinstalled it. Third time was the charm and I did end up with a couple of bubbles. I contacted paperlike and they sent me another screen protector free. I was not paid to leave this comment and for all I know there are protectors out there that are cheaper and of the same quality. But I am completely satisfied with the paperlike and love their customer service.

Come on dude. You have for several months and not a single scratch? That's not even funny bro. I have scratches on THE GLASS IPAD screen after a couple of months and I'm not rough on it all. This is really sad advertising.

I agree, Paperlike doesn’t feel “like paper” when I write on it. It still feels like I’m writing on glass. Wish I hadn’t bought it.

I bought one because my parents had it on their iPads for a while, and my dad uses an Apple Pencil on it often but it never scratched. As it turns out, theirs was the first version of Paperlike, while mine was the second version. Yeah, mine scratched quite a lot haha. I use my pencil to animate, and you could see where I flick between frames and where I draw based on the scratches.

I watched this video when I first bought my Ipad, around 2 years ago - and all I can say is thanks (that was sarcasm by the way) for making me suffer the crappiness that is the Bellemond screen protector. The first one in the pack was passable, though it muted the colours more than I was expecting. Then I had to replace it and boy, was it a different experience. There were scratches in the protector which never went away, and when I finally gave up and bought a Paperlike, it's like night and day. Who knew, there's actual guiding stickers and informational videos! And the screen protector itself is amazing. So anyone still reading this, don't be penny wise and pound foolish (yes, I'm old) like I was.

Really appreciate the honest reviews. It’s sad when you look for reviews on accessories and 15 people all recommend the same thing but you know it’s all fake because they all say almost the exact same thing and act the exact same way. It’s like they are given a script that not only gives them the words to follow but the mannerisms as well.

My thoughts on this review. Please note that do not play game with my iPad, so my wear and tear comes from drawing....the actual reason to buy this product » 1:44 First Selling Point: I've had mine for over a month with rough use and its not that scratched. » 3:02 Second Point: Agreed, it doesn't enhance the viewing experience, but i doesn't ruin it either. » 4:57 Wear and Tear: I had different results with mine. Its not nearly as "blown out" or foggy at any point of my usage. but again i don't play video games on my iPad so. » 6:07 Nanodot hype: ya kinda hype ngl. » 6:49 Scratch Test: sure, it can get scratched..........did they claim to be more scratch resistant than other brands? cus if so, they're not. But that's to be expected of a screen protector. One might even dub that its main job: to get scratched instead of the screen! » 7:43 Pen/Pencil mimics | 8:13 Val's take: It does not feel like pencil or pen on paper. But it does feel really good with the 🍎Pencil, imo. Tactile feedback is up to the individual though, so I kinda don't like this test as its a tad bit subjective. The other one might indeed feel like paper, idk (yet). That being said, if you bought it to feel like paper, it doesn't. My next screen protector to try will be this Bellemond. I like the idea of a competitor for Paperlike, and I'd like to see if it is indeed "better" in some ways. As for this review, its good, but it does come off as a bit bias in tone, even if that wasn't the intent. Keep making good stuff my dude. Thanks

@@shira1022 a matte screen protector will be better for writing/drawing cuz of the increased friction. From my personal use I don’t like the look as much cuz the contrast and overall brightness takes a bit of a hit, but if you need to take notes a lot it is worth it. The paper like probably not worth it. I used it for a summer class and that was it. It was pretty worn after 6ish weeks of use

Good video. I saw the product in a Brad Colbow video where he seemed to genuinely like it but I wanted to see other opinions in case his needs and preferences are different to mine. The split screen and other methods of analysis seem quite fair. I will say that after watching the video I was swayed towards the cheaper option (still going to look at a couple more reviews though) but Paperlikes comment on this video was impressive so I will keep an open mind about their products in the future.
