Recently had Wisely carry out my mobile service & Arthur did an absolutely brilliant job 🙂. Had wanted to use Wisely for ages, but distance from London made it kinda impractical, so the mobile option is a godsend. I strongly doubt anyone knows more about i3’s than these guys, and imo if you own one then they’re really the only people you should be letting work on it. About to book another service for the 2nd i3 in the household 👍🏻

I'm really excited that you are providing this option. As a BMW i3 owner I find it incredibly difficult to locate a service centre I trust. You guys 100% I trust and I will be using you. Mike from BUXTON Derbyshire. I just hope the new workshop is easy to get to from North of London customers :-)

Theres an i3 for sale in Burton upon Trent that has been converted to commercial looks like ex medical run about of some sort, its cheap as you’d expect as its very niche ..

You’ve done the right thing! You would spend more time charging than working if you had gone EV van.

I hope you can get a heavily deprecated ID.Buzz at some point. Sounds great though! Love that you have this service.
@wiselyauto6 сағат бұрын
Would be interesting to crunch the numbers on using an ID Buzz for 50,000 miles pa, with 2/3 of charging being done at public rapid chargers. Probably more viable if/once we get to a point where we have several vehicles and each one only focuses on a certain area :)
@RoamingNorway6 сағат бұрын
@@wiselyauto Absolutely. Diesel sounds like the correct choice to ensure profits before you experiment around. Buzz does charge pretty well I would say, better than any other EV van.

@@wiselyauto Great point to have to take into account the cost of needing to use public chargers

Ford need to make a REX/EREV van.

Really nice to see Arthur in front of the camera again. Seems the mobile service is working pretty well, which is good to see. I can completely see the need tor a diesel van to make the service work; I hope the inevitable hate mongers don’t bother to make the contrary point of view. But, you know - human nature… Keen to hear how the deposit situation panned out. You’ve held onto that cliffhanger long enough! (Ford engine designs. They’re a laugh aren’t they?)

Has your 180,000 mile I3 had any problems with the A/C compressor? In your experience have compressors given much, if any, problems?

@23:39 You show an apparent roadside repair taking place when your graphic @27:28 seems to preclude this option?
@wiselyauto5 сағат бұрын
Good question, and good spot! We will, on a case by case basis, consider some "repair" work at the roadside, so long as these do not involve raising the car (either fully or partly) and the overall environment is safe, appropriate etc. Jobs we'd consider roadside include 12v battery replacements, interior trim work, wing mirrors, door locks, bulbs etc. For any "service" work, there's no discussion unfortunately - we will only accept bookings where the vehicle can be on private, off-street property as per the graphics. Hope that clarifies :)

I’ve been telling everyone that it’s all fun and games owning an EV and moving around town, but as soon as you need to cover significant ground, diesel is still king.
@Joe-lb8qn5 сағат бұрын
Only in a van and only because there aren't any good long distance vans yet. Last year i did a 1300 mile road trip through Europe in 4 days, and thats nothing out of the ordinary , And you can find numerous vids of similar so its complete BS to say EVs cant do long distances.
@kash7485 сағат бұрын
Really disappointed to see you running a diesel when cleverly manage it on electric in their mg5 fleet....setting a slightly bad example and I wouldnt be happy with a EV tech turning up in one tbh
@fogartym772 сағат бұрын
I'm more interested in the tech turning up and giving me a good service on my EV than what he himself is driving. You know fine well what the guys are like at Wisely and he has given his reasons for using a diesel. I wouldn't even blink asking Wisely to come out to me.
