Traded my 94AH Rex for an MG4, which is a great car, but doesn't have the character and agility of my old i3. It was like a gocart and really fun to drive. You always had the Rex as a backup to avoid paying for rip-off public charging on a long run. The i3 still looks great even after all this time. Plus, how many other cars have a carbon fibre tub?
@stephensharp9752 күн бұрын
We have a 2020 120AH i3 which shows 325kms fully charged after 125,000 kms so that is pretty good.

I wrongly thought this was going to be another of those EV sceptic YT videos, but there is clearly good to adequate charging provision on what is a major tourist route. It also seems that the displays on most chargers, particularly the more recent ones, are now very large and clear. That's good as the sequence to access a charge varies with age and provider. Lack of canopies remains an issue except at the major hubs. Given the UK climate, getting wet when charging remains a potential hazard. Thank you for a pacey and informative video. I might even try the BK bean burger!

Another Great Tutorial - anybody know why my code from BMW cannot be read. It seems to come in, as the Notification is there but disappears quickly. I don’t see BMW messages where it normally is (2022 i3s). I did set this up easily in previous i3s. BTW I did have the tracking enabled and found it helpful (unlike mollyfilms below, )when previous car was stolen.

I am about to buy a used one, all this information is very much appreciated, thanks! I hope I can live with the 20" wheels, the lower range and lower comfort are concerning, but the deal is too good to pass on... :)

We bought a Namsan just under a year ago. An amazing car. Loads of sensible/useful tech. AWD model is very quick and yet fairly economical with electrical consumption. We tow a caravan with it and it does not feel like it's even there (although the range tend to drop by about 36% - compared to just under 30% on our petrol RAV4). Would happily buy another if anything unfortunate happened to ours.

In my country there's Premium MY24, Premium MY23, Vanguard MY24 and Vanguard MY23. None of these make sense and there's no Namsan.

Great video. Not one of those tech features interests me. Gimmicky crap for gimmicky craps sake. Manufacturers are just trying to squeeze more money from your pocket.

Thanks! If the technology is not of interest, then case consider yourself lucky, as even the base model will do and you save yourself some cash.

Looking forward to your review of the Ioniq 5 N although I suspect like most top performance EVs it might just be too fast. It does however look to be a good alternative to a Taycan.

great video as always! When I drove one at first I wasn’t keen on all the tech but you quickly get used to it and see the benefits. The highway driving assistant is also very good but I know you covered that in your other video about the Ioniq 5.

Digital mirrors are cool but in the UK they won't last long before someone coming the other way smashes them off and they look expensive to replace. They seem to stick out more than regular mirrors.

Love all that tech, mirror/cam etc. My worry on parking is that you can squeeze in and remotely pull out, but the old diesel clunker next to you will just bash your paintwork.

I have the 28kwh Hyundai ioniq. 130 miles to a charge on a good day. I've driven from south west Wales to Edinburgh no issues. The price of public charging Is crazy expensive and I hope the prices will come down next year or I will be going back to an ICE car as it's cheaper to run as I use public charging most of the time
