The explanation of RSS and the reasoning behind high level system design (assertive driving leads to provable safety) is super helpful. The real traffic demo was amazing! Thanks Prof. Shashua

Always fascinating to watch Shashua's videos. Less hype, more relevant explanations.

I think the way of assertive driving is culturally different, especially throughout Europe you find all different kinds of driving culture - some more assertive, even aggressive and some that are more "polite" by reacting to the turn signal for instance. So I think you - as a technology company - need to be able to factor the culture of driving based on location into your system as well.

Ha, in the US cutting off that SUV would be considered wildly over aggressive (and illegal) not 'assertive'. You can see the Jeep has to slam on its brakes. Insurance rates in Jerusalem must be astronomical.

What about night driving? rain and fog conditions?

some of the sensors work but the range is small so in this conditions you have to drive slow as much as your sensors are able to perceive the environment, kind of like any of us do. If it is so bad that you cannot "see" you go on the side and wait it out, kind of like we should do. Anyhow, radar still works in many of this cases so at least with 5mph you can still drive :)

It's interesting how similar it is to Tesla's approach.

Jesus Christ and I thought Elon's Mad Max mode was absurdly dangerous! This shit would be called MAXIMUM ASSHOLE mode in America. Ridiculously unsafe and hyper aggressive.
