This damn well become possible with cash too, in the form of buying some prepaid card or something. Anonymity can NOT be a thing of the past!!!! A car or a motorcycle is anonymous and not tracked, unless recorded (and identified) by cameras by the road.

And no; mobile should not be the only way to pay for public transportation; putting all of your eggs in one basket is usually a bad idea.

@@bobmanyo1 Like I said before, mobile should not be the only way to pay for public transportation. Much like how plenty of people still watch KZbin on more than just mobile devices.

Not everything needs to be a service. There are greedy game companies attempting to go with "video games are not the backbone of a gaming system; only a service" nonsense.

The only time I would ever give up the freedom of having my own car is if it literally became illegal to drive.

Don't know where you live but in most places driving is a privilege not a right.

this isn't about you giving up your freedom of having your own car or making MaaS the only means of transportation. The goal is to make it the main one so that people who don't own or need cars can go anywhere with the click of a button and to make a more sustainable world.

This is also going to be more of a generational change. More percentage of gen Z, than millennials will do this. As a millennial, I’ve been trained all my life to know that owning and driving my own car is the superior choice, but this might not be true of my Gen z brother, who is just in an age to consider his own mobility.
