If anyone is looking to do this, in my experience the limiting factor is the motor, not your batteries or ESC. The 4mph models have a smaller motor than the 8mph models, when you try to overvolt them the motors just spin at super high RPM and get really hot, it will get you up to about 20 mph but its super inefficient and risk burning the motor out. If you could somehow take the bigger motor out of the larger ones and weld it into the medium size ones that do 4 mph, and use lithium ion batteries to reduce weight, it would be pretty damn fun I reckon. It all comes down to the thickness of the wires in the motor, so bigger current at same voltage.

usually whenyou put it in freewheel the electronics get locked out , engaging the gear back in and reboot should make it work again

okay boss as someone else also said you have it in push mode so mother is disingaged so it wount run I think that modle you have there has a button under the center at the rear end turn it off flip that switch & try again. also some have a weight senccer under the seat that can keep it from moving

I got an extra 2mph out of mine just by cleaning the pot on the tortoise to hair dial was 8mph went to 10mph most mobility repair shops have a fault finding meter they plug in to the scooter to diagnosis faults and can turn the speed up but by law they need to restrict them the meter cost about £300 I think seen it on youtube some times its just a matter of changing the brushes in the motor

Best bet is find someone who services them and ask them if there's anything thay can do to make it a bit quicker. I don't know the scooter you have but I'm sure someone will be able to do something with it to get it faster.

I've had a Google and can't find much about it. I've seen the one you have and the speed controller it has. There very expensive to replace and wouldn't recommend playing about with it to much increase something goes wrong. But you could try and get a speed controller for a bike

A 24volt bike speed controller may well get a better top speed but don't know if all the other functions would work on the scooter like the lights and horn and possibly reverse. Sorry I cant help any further.

stock 24v and speed controller was 7mph adjusted speed controller got 9mph on 24v. changed speed controller to a 48v 300watt and run it with 4 12v batteries so 52v fully charged and that topped out at 24mph gps indecuated on my phone. motor wasn't hot but warm. then gave up with it and gave it to my mate as my girls weren't interested in it and his boys loved it.

What is that beeping in the background ? going off roughly every 30 or so seconds. A bit annoying to say the least. 😕🙁 I would love to get a bit more speed out of my mobility scooter but, without loss of battery power ( or not very much) But, I am not technical minded. But, I do wish it would travel. Much further on a full charge rather than about 3 miles. 👎😡🤬🤬🤬🤬 Increasing range is a MUST!!! for me 3 miles is worryingly short distance. It has GEL batteries not standard type so i simply don't understand why the range is so LOW!!!! It's simply not enough I have tried almost everything to achieve this. But, nothing seems to work & I have never taken the batteries out as so far never needed to or been able to get the bloody seat off 😡🤬 Maybe one day i hope. If really necessary. Any ideas or tips to help.

Your batteries need replacing, that will account for the low range.

@@dandare2586 It cannot be the batteries as, they only a few months old ( about Feb I got them) & are GEL types ( so I was told & highly recommended ) 80amp ( presumably) I thought if I was to spend out a few hundred £ EACH!!! ( approximately £300 to £1,400 EACH!!! depending on make GEL Or standard types 100amp ers would it make any difference ( as in great improvement on range). But, sadly 😪 I can't afford to change the batteries again so soon as, my finance is very limited unfortunately. 😪 Even if it was them to be the cause of the problem.. I have never seen the batteries since they were installed early this year just before Lockdown in March. ( I think it was, early Feb) I am, at my wits, end with it & I'd love to travel further or longer than just a, few, miles. I honestly thought these things, the, range varied from, about 12 to 25 miles, on a full 12+ hour or so. charge. I need, help. in sorting this matter out SOON!!! I can't get in touch with the service company that did replace the batteries due to.this HORRIBLE COVID 19 thing going on. As I said I am. at my wits end. 😪😪😪😪👎👎👎👎 & I enjoy getting out on it even if it ends, up, just being to the park & back or to. do a little shopping.about, after that it usually needs, re- charing almost immediately right after getting back. It really drains, power from, the batteries if on full power. I am so depressed with it I honestly thought I had some independence but, not as much as I expected SADLY!!! . So, what can I do 😪👎

@@ThStg you can't rule out batteries just because they are a few months old, to you, it's entirety possible they were damaged by complete discharge at some stage. Gel batteries are usually a couple of hundred pounds, the prices you are quoting are well over the odds?? Why ???

@@dandare2586 My original batteries that was on it were in a terrible state according to the technician ( of which I wasn't surprised due to their age ) I think they were about 4 + years old & well used & wouldn't charge up above 80% between both batteries. As, for these Gel types in was highly recommended to have them by the service engineer ( not forced to have them just recommended to have them so I went for them ) But, I thought why not & I honestly thought I was making the right choice as these are much lighter in weight ( or so I was, told) You see this is my 1st mobility scooter but, I did look at many models & the one I really liked & wanted was a bit out of my price range quite, sadly. So, as, I have already mentioned it I am at my wits end with it I was, so much looking forward to really getting out & about on it. But, due to its extremely low range I am rather nervous of traveling too far. If I go very BORINGLY SLOW 3mph tops ( snails, pace) I get about 3 to 4 miles before I need to fully re-charge it. If I go a bit quicker ( full 8 mph not that do very much anyway just sometimes if I am in a bit of a rush) I am very lucky to get about 1 & half miles before it needs, a full re-charge. As, I have already mentioned I can't afford larger or replacement batteries as my budget at the moment & for quite sometime yet is sadly rather limited. I am getting more & more frustrated & depressed with it everyday. I don't use it daily just a few times a week & I tend to charge it up the day before. There are reasons as to why in don't charge up overnight. ( take, far too long in explaining). & I think I have said more, than enough about it The batteries were so expensive because it didn't matter where I looked for replacements they were all in the £200+ mark each Standard types, we're still over £130+ each anyway at 80amps, I really just know is it worth trying to put bigger ampage ones in I. e, 100 's, if they fit ( hopefully) But, that's another story as they say & going back to standards rather than these Gel types or what. I do like getting out but, this has got me almost house bound due, the excessive low range. 😢🙁😕 I simply just don't know what to do.

@@ZOMBIEEZ ran it on 36volts and got about 15mph out of it with the standard motor and speed controller. I might build another one day from scratch with a brushless motor and lipo batteries for me to drive around on. I've started collecting bits but got a car to restore and mod first.
