Thanks a lot for this tutorial! I love Vaporwave & Synthwave and I had no idea it was this easy to creat something like this! :) And btw, English isn't even my first language and I could literally understand every word you said, so people who complain about your voice should get a life. :)

AWESOME! I will be using this technique- another brilliant vid cheers! I was thinking of doing something similar to the Leauge of legends Popstars... with this as the bg. Btw that's the name of the track at the start! lol!

Was just making a version of this last night and just wanted to say, Thank You! Also, on a side note, when I was trying to get the "cellular" saber to loop I actually had to do the duplicate and opacity fade like you did for the planet and it worked for me. Couldn't tell you why, I made sure my settings were exactly the same as yours (with some personalization of color and glow amount) I did have an idea when it comes to looping the planet. I put a permanent 90 rotation on the X, putting my seem on the lower half, then I could take my planet and rotate it around the Z and the line never showed. If I wanted to change the look of the planet I would adjust the turbulent displace but keep that 90.

Really cool design. To me the biggest take away tho was CC Ball Action. I never knew about that one, and I can already see the huge potential of having it available as a resource. Appreciate your vids man, exactly because of the moments where I get to pick up on one or two effects or techniques I didn't know about after using the software for 10 years.

Yeah I think that's what I love most about tutorials from other creators. Typically I can make what they're making, but it's the small details, tricks, keyboard shortcuts, or effects that they use that adds to my tool belt.

@@moboxgraphics Definitely. I was nodding along most of the video thinking 'yeah, that's mostly what I would do as well'. Then there's the little sprinkles of new info that can be helpful and used in so many ways in other contexts :)

Haha, I was excited to see how you would tackle the looping dilemma. Glad to know I'm not the only one who cuts it up and hides the transition in the middle of the animation.

Yeah... check out @ericaofanderson on twitter. All her animations loop and it consistently makes my mind explode trying to see the seam that doesn't exist.

@@moboxgraphics Thanks for the tip, I definitely will! Got into looping videos when I decided to try my hand at animated backgrounds and other elements for Twitch designs. Which is when I also had to figure out the whole issue with figuring out .webm exports to get small files with an alpha-channel.

Great video! I tried for the rotation of the planet "texture" to be 360 degree till the end of the scene and it produced also a loop, (but kinda fast). So maybe this is an option as well. Anyways, thanks for the tutorial!

hello, PLEASE ADVICE! How can i stop a loop in one frame so that new loop will start with new keyframes in same composition or layer? FOR example: Character walks with hand and foot rotations, at one frame i wanna stop him so that he stands and just moves his hands while talking
