Total newb here with After Effects but I was able to keep up! Took me a few hours to complete the whole tutorial and I turned the speed down to 0.75 but I thoroughly enjoyed it. That was so much fun! I appreciate that you made sure everything looped. Also, it looks like they changed the Luma Matte setting on the current version and it was driving me crazy trying to figure out where it went. For anyone trying to figure it out, it's the little boxes to the right of where the track matte drop down he was selecting in the video.

So everything worked until I went to apply the black bar animation to the sun. I set the Track Matte to Luma Matte, and the sun disappeared. Any idea why that might have occurred? Edit: I realized that I had the black bars soloed and that was the issue.

He edited the video, so it lost a step. After the step "Enable Time Remapping", the composition "Black Bar Animation" should be drag more longer from 2s to 10s.

Figured it out with f4 :) But now for some reason my floor colour is light grey but its black in Grid but not when I switch to main floor? How do I change it to black?

This is probably a dumb question but once you've made a four-second loop like this what's the best way to loop it for a song that's several minutes? Do you just copy and paste it loads of times or do something else?

Yep! I would export the 4 second loop from After Effects. Then in Premiere Pro, just duplicate the clip multiple times, to be the length of the song.
