Thank you for making this video. I'm a daddy bear, I have two boys. I had a harness for my first boy and he hated it and it hurt my back. My youngest boy, my wife got a moby and she knows how to use it with out a problem. I never remember how to do this. So thank you vary much for making a easy guide.

People that have never used the full length fabric wraps should NOT comment negatively on this. My close friend had a full length wrap and i carried toddler twin girls on each side for over an hour with no weight or distribution problems at all. we were all three comfortable the whole time! and when i say toddler, they were two months away from turning three. these wraps are so comfortable and convenient and when they get to a certain age you can wrap them while they're on you for a more secure feel. comments like "OMG this looks so annoying" isn't helpful to anyone and just makes you look bad

Try putting it on, BEFORE you leave the house... You can drive with it on and then put the baby in at your destination. Highly recommended, even if you make your own.

I have this product, I agree its REALLY over priced for a piece of jersey but the wrap works great if you use it properly. There are many more holds than just these ones. Id suggest it to anyone.
@familienfotografin8 жыл бұрын
that amount of organic jersey with the same high quality would cost even more where i live and you would also still have to sew around the whole thing. It is about 60 € here, 15-30 available as used on the market like ebay Kleinanzeigen in germany. I sew and good Jersey is not cheap. High quality wraps meitai and slings start at 120 €. Got mine preused as a present. Would recommend to buy a used one.

just be careful while taking them out if youre not familiar with this thing 100%. i was trying to take my daughter out of the wrap, and she used her newfound leg strength and launched herself out on her own, luckily i was right by a V shaped desk and she landed in the V only hit her back and shoulders or it could have been a lot worse. it scared the hell out of me. not the products fault but if youre not very familiar with how to put them in and get them out, just keep a firm grip on a limb until you learn. if this desk had not been here it would have been a 2ft fall to a hard hard floor, i dont even like to think about it. God taught me a lesson on this one, always use a firm grip and control the baby or this thing can be dangerous.

Thats why baby's legs should come OUT of the wrap. Even newborns are able to push on their little feet, dont put them in thé wrap !

I love this wrap. What is not encouraged is skin to skin caring. Skin to skin offers so many incredible advantages both to baby and mother. If we are carrying the baby already why not go the next step and skin to skin. I am also wondering if there could not be a problem with breathing for the newborn in a hammock position. Newborns need to have their sternum against mothers sternum.
@lokanoda7 жыл бұрын
Not true. You can do skin to skin with this (with the position as shown in the video).

i loooove this wrap and practically lived in it during the first 8 mo of my daughter's life . why would it not be practical outside of the house? it made my life so much easier (and continues to do so, with my baby now at 16mo and as grabby as can be... well, unless she's wrapped up! haha)

My mobs wrap has a panel on the end specifically stating not to have baby lying and hunched or in a “C” shape because they can suffocate even though they’re face isn’t covered...

What is the difference between the first two basic wraps? It looks like one is unfolded and the other is folded, what are the pros and cons of each wrap style?
@camillecrestani34995 жыл бұрын
Dont fold it. Make sure each fabric rail isnt twisted, lay the crosses flat on you. When positionning your child, feed your baby's feet trough each rail, cover their body from knee to ear with each rail, put the 3rd layer and leave the feet OUTSIDE the wrap !!! Otherwise thé baby could kick themselves out of the carrier.

You dont have to put it on without the baby. I put it on like she does in the video and it works just fine for me, but my wife uses a different method where she puts it around the baby first and then around herself.

Helpful video...however the video fades out each time the baby finally gets positioned in each of the holds. I would have like to have seen the camera linger for 10 seconds (at least) so one could see how the baby looks actually in the wrap.

The problem with this kind of wrapping is, that you put it on without the baby. You have to guess, how tight it has to be. The baby changes every day and it happened often to me, that it was too tight or too loose. Even the woman in the video seems not to trust it, because she holds the baby even after wrapping. And because it is an elastic fabric, there are no other wrapping options. I really tried it but I eventually gave up and bought a non elastic wrap, with which I am absolutely happy.
@camillecrestani34995 жыл бұрын
Elastic wraps are actually trickier to wrap correctely than woven wraps.

also, forget using this in a public area without having it dragging all over the floor. Not a convenient sling for being outside the house.

Wish I could make it work. My daughter hates it. I spend 10 minutes trying to get it on and her in it (all while she's screaming at me) all for her to just scream louder and wiggle it loose and both of us more frustrated. My mother in law will ask me - why don't you get out your wrap- and I'll just give her a look. Glad I got mine as a hand me down and did not spend money. Up in the attic it goes. Maybe if I have another child, it will be better.

Dude. This is 10 times more complicated than the scarf my aunt used. She put a knot in it and wore it across her body and just plopped the baby in. This thing has a zillion yards of fabric and adds bulk to a new moms midsection. Talk about damaging to an ego when you want to look cute.

@ronjazigler358410 жыл бұрын
It was just a basic woven scarf. She's a practical German woman like that. I will concede that the knot digs into your shoulder with a normal scarf though.
@mirandamcknight78717 жыл бұрын
She made a sling. Now, this is okay for a lot of people but many babies are placed in slings wrong and end up suffocating. I used a sling with my first and was constantly worried he would smother.
