The u-joints are incorrectly oriented, as some of you pointed out. I'm fully aware of that, and that's a mistake I always made. I won't deny it, I won't defend it. But the jerkiness is caused by a series of factors, not only the u-joints. another factor is the unstable axles. Due to the lack of ball joint and the backlash of the linkages, both axles wobble a little bit when I start/stop the truck. On flat surface, it runs pretty smoothly, except for the starting/breaking point (which also indicate the u-joints don't have too much influences). When off-roading, it is a constant start-and-stop action, hence the jerkiness. No creation is perfect, I hope it doesn't bother you.
