SpacePeachi Animations Oh thank God I don't feel alone. I've actually been sight reading lately and I'm getting better and better. I have to learn how to sight sing before Feb 19. So hopefully I can get it in before then

I have to audition for regional choir and there is a sight reading portion. From what I know ab sight reading I recommend using solfege instead of just saying “ta” the whole time because solfege will help you not be as pitchy

Literally same! Like, I really want to Audition for Madrigals. I am already in Acapella and NADS, you have to tryout for NADS, but my teacher just automatically put me in it because he remembers how I can sing from 7th grade. I an in 10th now, and haven't done Choir since then. But since this is Madrigals. It's a bigger deal, so I'll HAVE to audition for it next year. My Senior friend was telling about this. And tell me why this entire video is EXACTLY what she was talking about. Everything is here that I have to do...😭 Sight reading will be the end of me.🥲☠️

I thought the same thing for a choir audition that I just went through, but it actually wasn't that bad. I thought I would die at that part but I ended up doing near perfect. Sight singing was the absolute worst part for me, since sight reading with your voice is different than an instrument. You don't have strings to press or buttons, so that was the hard part lol

I have an audition end of august next month, I have to prepare a 90-second solo that shows off my best singing voice, do some sight-reading exercises. and if invited back for call-backs, I have to sing a piece and sing a particular part or parts based on what the director wants.

Just remember that the last sharp is Ti and the last flat is always Fa. Most of the time Your director will give you your starting note and pitch and have you sing it on solfège.

I hate to break it to you, but it's because you're old. When a human gets around the 65+ age, the vocal cords weaken. Some can still have a great singing voice, but those people have really strong vocal cords, and everyone's different, so. Not trying to say that's the reason, but it most likely is.

can someone please explain is this bass or tenor? i'm watching before my choir audition, thanks for uploading
@kaalen_wilson Жыл бұрын
Not Tenor at all. He's pushing Tenor, but not quite there. He's a Baritone, but he could do Bass as well if he wanted to.

Can u guys explain me what is exactly a bass 2?
@hajukara23033 жыл бұрын
Bass 2 is referred to as true bass that has a strong low notes... this is being assigned whenever there is a division in bass section in which bass 1 sing the high bass part and bass 2 for the low part... technically bass 2 sings the lowest notes in the music piece. Bass 1 on the other hand is the baritone
