LMAOOO YO THANK YOU I’M GLAD SOMEBODY NOTICED!!! Honestly it’s more of just a concept/list of parallels in my head rather than a fleshed-out AU? It’s essentially the Kas theory but like, Bucky Barnes instead of vampires. Also I thought of it before seeing the Kas theory and then I just never bothered to do more bc they’re similar enough at their roots lmao. Like: TFA Bucky also dying a hero in the middle of battle, Eddie getting taken right before death by Vecna and then brainwashed into a soldier during the timeskip, only to remember himself after seeing Steve (also Dustin ofc bc BROTHERS 😭), etc. I just had the most VIVID image in my head of the “Bucky?” “Who the hell is Bucky?” scene after watching Vol. 2 but with Steddie instead (helps that there‘s a Steve in scenario LOL) and I love making myself sad. It’s been a fuckin’ while since I’ve watched my CA movies/shows though so the details basically end with my TWS memories from late high school unfortunately 🤣
